NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

Posted on September 17, 2019

Ever got stuck on how to unlock the next titan? Well, here’s how, for normal difficulty. Spoilers abound, obviously.

Gordon Ramsey Bolton (GRB)

“Ah, fresh meat!”

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

You’ll find Gordon is waiting for you after you beat Boss #58, Spiky Haired Dude.

That’s it!

Grand Corrupted Tree (GCT)

“It’s big, it’s heavy, it’s wood!”

Grand Corrupted Tree is the second titan, unlocked after beating boss #66 Sundae.

Jake From Accounting (Jake)

“Not to be confused with Mark from Sales.”

Jake From Accounting is the third titan, and is unlocked by beating boss #82.

UUG, The Unmentionable (UUG)

“♥♥♥♥. I just mentioned him.”

UUG, The Unmentionable is the fourth titan, and is unlocked by beating boss #100.

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

This is where things get interesting.

Hint: UUG is so rude that he’ll shrug off your attacks and will probably smash your face in. He’ll also call you a droop. Now, where have we encountered that word before…?

Solution: Droop is the goblin enemy back in the forest.

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans
After killing boss 100, he’ll gain a secret drop, called Ring of Apathy. You need to get the ring to level 100, preferably, to not get one-shot by UUG. It has a low drop chance, but it is affected by drop gear and can be daycared with base time of 2 hours per level. Without the ring, UUG gains a massive damage bonus with every attack, and becomes invincible. The ring’s levels reduce the damage gain, and removes the invincibility. While it is possible to kill UUG without the ring maxed, it’s going to be very, very hard. You’ll also need the ring maxxed to be able to AutoKill UUG.
UUG will always drop at least a single ring of greed on the first kill, and that it is pretty, pretty good – 16% respawn is in fact so good that the ring retains its value even in sadistic.

Walderp

“This guy loves to hide.”

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

Walderp is the 5th Titan, unlocked by defeating boss #116

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

Hint:Walderp has multiple forms, and you must deal with his schtick to get to the final form that actually drops loot. He involves hide-and-seek and Simon-Says, with thermonuclear results on failure.

Solution: Kill his first form in his zone, then he will hide in a random screen – this could be ANY screen, like rebirth, shop page 3, daycare, NGU, you name it. You won’t have to scroll down, however. You will have 3 minutes to find him as he becomes more visible in the screen he is hiding in. After 3 minutes he will reset his visibility and change menus. After finding him his 180 minute countdown timer will start again before you can fight his second form. After killing his second form you must repeat this process for his third, fourth, and fifth and fina) form. There will be a 180 minute countdown between each kill. Rebirthing between kills is okay, his initial spawn on your new rebirth will be his lowest un-killed form, or final if all forms were previously killed. After killing Walderp’s final form he will begin to drop his items. You do not need to do the whole process again, after killing his final form all future spawns will also be of his final form.

Successfully killing him involves playing Walderp Says, the game. You HAVE to hit the called out attacks, and you HAVE to hit anything BUT the called out attacks if he doesn’t say ‘Walderp Says’. You can’t just do nothing, he’ll explode unless hit.

The Beast

“This thing is really, REALLY hungry.”

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

The Beast is the 6th Titan, unlocked by defeating boss #132

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

First unlock The Beast titan fight area. This will pit you against a mob.

Name: Skeleton Guardian
30M Power and Toughness
3B Health
3M Health Regen per second

Upon defeating it, you will obtain A Crumpled Note, and this will give you hints on how to awaken The Beast.

  • Read A Crumpled Note. No, seriously. Try to guess.
  • There are exactly five things that you have to do in the correct order.
  • You can do the first four without rebirthing.
  • If you complete a clue correctly, its corresponding item will appear in your inventory. This lets you know that you finished the task successfully.
  • The four clues will give you four items that are the final hint for the last thing you need to do to awaken The Beast.

You really might want to turn off ‘autokill titans’ before starting.

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

First Hint: Don’t utter his name, don’t mention him. And what would the most sacred number be, in NGU…?

First Hint Solution: Defeat UUG, The Unmentionable while having a Level 69 Ring of Apathy equipped.
Due to UUG’s damage output getting to crazy levels after 5 turns or so (x1.31 with each attack), being able to kill him quickly is paramount. Paralyze helps a lot in that regard. Finishing the Basic Challenges would be a really good idea.

This will reward you with The First Clue.

Second Hint: There aren’t that many trees around in NGU. What would be the diminished version of a tree, though…?

Second Hint Solution: Defeat Grand Corrupted Tree, while having A Stick (from the tutorial equipped in your weapon slot. This will reward you with The Second Clue. This one’s easy.

This will reward you with The Second Clue.

Third Hint: Salaries? Hmm, maybe some accounting is in order…

Third Hint Solution: Defeat Jake from Accounting with Stapler equipped, and nothing else. You’ll probably have enough stats to do it with ease in your cube already.

This will reward you with The Third Clue.

Fourth Hint: Not many infinite towers around in NGU either. And naked really means naked.

Fourth Hint Solution: Remove ALL equipment equipped, go all the way from Floor 0 to 101 in the ITOPOD. Make sure to put 102 as the ITOPOD max floor to avoid looping back to floor 0 before solving the clue.

This will give you The Fourth Clue.

Tying it all up:

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

THE NUMBERS, WHAT DO THEY MEAN???

That :1 is the biggest hint I can give you without spoilers.

NGU IDLE: How to Unlock Normal Titans

Once you have completed all of these tasks, do a rebirth at the time of 43:19 (43 minutes, 19 seconds, you will awaken The Beast and be able to start murdering him repeatedly. You have about 10 seconds leeway – in between 43:09 and 43:29 is fine.
