So, I like to call seasonal bosses as the bosses you can see in certain seasons. It may not make sense, but I find the categories of bosses hard to understand. We are only going to cover the four bosses I already listed and again, I will start making a new guide of the rest of the bosses I missed.
How to kill Deerclops
I am going to go in the order of the seasons, so first off is Deerclops. Deerclops is the first boss you will encounter, on day 30 (Note that all the winters ahead will have a Deerclops, but it can sometimes glitch and not show up a year.) What I do is I usually gather many blue caps and green caps. Cook the green caps for sanity and keep the blue caps raw because they give a massive amount of health. The reason why you should use cooked green caps is because if you go insane, nightmare creatures will spawn, and no nothing but stall the battle, and possibly kill you. You should at least have from my experience, about 10-20 blue caps and cooked green caps. You should also have 3 log suits and 2 football helmets, in case you get hurt from kiting Deerclops. When you kite Deerclops, it is a little tricky, even for me, because the range of damage is a little broken, but I will try to explain it. You hit Deerclops 2-3 times, then you run away when it raises it’s hand, preparing an attack. Then run back towards it and repeat. You can alse cheese it by going to a setpiece, like the reed trap, and lure Deerclops into it, killing both the tentacles and Deerclops. You can also use beefalo, especially when they are in heat. If you are unlucky and you don’t have any effective setpieces, you can also use tooth traps, bee mines, and gunpowder (don’t forget that if you kill Deerclops with fire it will cook the mean, and burn the eye, turning it into ashes, so if it’s your first winter, avoid using fire weapons because you need that eyebrella for spring.) You can also make sculptures of Deerclops with the eye, but make the eyebrella first.
How to Kill Moose/Goose
Next season, you fight a boss that is somewhat the same difficulty as Deerclops. Moose/Goose is a boss that usually nests near the ponds with what looks like “crushed saplings” Those little spots have a nest that is placed there and it can hold an egg full of 5-6 moslings. The Moose/Goose is unique in its hostility. If you go close to them, they will become hostile and hop over to you. The unique part is that if you go near the eggs, they can also become hostile. When you kite Moose/Goose, you kite it the same way as Deerclops, but you do 1 thing differently. The Moose/Goose can honk at you and you will drop your item, like how your item can slip when you are wet. Once every 4 attacks, Moose/Goose will honk at you, so the way to not drop your weapon is to unequip your weapon when they are about to honk. You can predict this, because it happens once every 4 attacks. Other than that, bring 20 blue mushrooms and cooked green caps and you will be fine.
How to kill Antlion
Antlion is a little harder, but learn to kite it the correct way, and it’ll be a piece of cake. (cake not included. sorry that joke was bad, forget what I’m saying I’m regretting this already.) Don’t Forget to get about 25 blue caps and 15 cooked green caps. The parts that make Antlion hard is that they make an arena, so you cannot escape. Then, Antlion can raise sand spikes, that has a range longer than Deerclops’s range. Another part is that the sandstorm will be active, so you cannot wear a football helmet. (You can, but it’s quite hard because you will move slower.) The way you kite it is by hitting it 1-2 times. When the sand spikes rise, you slowly revolve around Antlion. (Notice that the spikes will gradually speed up, so you can only do 1 hit. Don’t worry, the speed of the spikes will go back to when the battle started.) It is quite hard to explain, so if you are still confused about this, there are many videos to show how to do this.
How to Kill Bearger
Bearger is actually the easiest of them all, because there’s no unique attacks he does, but the only one he does, the ground pound, it is extremely similar to it’s regular attacks. Bearger appears about 5 days after your second autumn. You can craft the hibearnation vest with the thick fur you can get from killing them, but you can also collect fur tufts so you can make the vest without killing Bearger. The way you kite Bearger is by hitting him twice, then running away. On his ground pound, the only difference is the damage, so you can basically do the same thing over and over again. Don’t forget that after the ground pound they attack again when you go near it, so you need to trick them to try to hit you. Other than that, bring about 10 blue caps and 15 cooked green caps, and you will be completely fine. Also bring a helmet and log suit in case you get hit.
Conclusion
If you read my guide, thank you, and I hope this helped you. If you have any questions, please comment below and I will most likely be able to answer them. If you have any complaints, please comment below so I can change the guide. If you don’t understand something completely, and I don’t know the answer, I recommend you check other sources. Other than that, I will post the rest of the bosses by May, and I might make a guide for Don’t Starve about Shipwrecked and Hamlet bosses, but it might not happen, so if you play Don’t Starve, try not to get your hopes up.
