For Stray players who want to know how to enable HDR, this guide will show you how to enable it.
Don’t know why most HDR in-game looks wash out but some people like it cuz it is not over saturated.
Enabling HDR
Add these line in Engine.ini
r.HDR.EnableHDROutput=1 r.HDR.Display.OutputDevice=5 r.HDR.UI.CompositeMode=1 r.HDR.Display.ColorGamut=2 r.HDR.UI.Level=1.5
Engine.ini location : C:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Local\Hk_project\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor

btw if you don’t know why people use HDR, it’s because you don’t have an HDR screen, so it looks washed out on your screen. However on an HDR screen it will look even better than regular, basically HDR screen expand the dynamic range of brightness, meaning the image will have a stronger and better contrast.
HDR doesn’t work on Stray. While I have a HDR monitor (Samsung CRG9) and enabled HDR in Windows, the game looks washed out and doesn’t properly display bright brights.
Writing rubbish like this just gives people false hope.
