Nivalis Nights: Fish Guide (All 24 Fish by Tier and Location)

Posted on October 3, 2026

I put together this fish guide because tracking down every catch in Nivalis Nights is the kind of task that looks simple until you’re standing on a pier at the wrong hour watching nothing bite. Below you’ll find the complete fish list broken down two ways: once sorted by tier, and once sorted by location so you can plan a route instead of wandering the map hoping something spawns.

What matters most here is that weather and time of day are not optional details. Every fish has a specific combination, and if you show up in the wrong conditions you simply won’t catch it. I’ve laid both tables out so you can cross-check quickly — find your fish by tier, confirm the location, then verify the weather and time before you commit to the trip.

All Fish by Tier

If you’re working toward 100% and just need to know which tier a fish belongs to, this is the table to scan first. The tier-1 fish are the ones I’d knock out early since they’re available everywhere with no weather or time restrictions at all.

Tier Fish Weather Location Time
1 Burbot Any weather Everywhere Any time
1 Pike Any weather Everywhere Any time
1 Stickleback Any weather Everywhere Any time
2 Rudd Sunny, Rain, Storm Industrial District Night
2 Crucian Rain, Storm, Clouds Seaside Boardwalk Day
2 Volga Zander Sunny, Rain The Stacks Day
3 Ide Sunny Calypso Island Night
3 Carp Clouds, Dusty, Storm Seaside Boardwalk Night
3 Lake Trout Sunny Calypso Island Day
4 Bream Clouds, Dusty, Fog Seaside Boardwalk Day
4 Brook Trout Rain, Storm, Sunny Seaside Boardwalk Night
4 Tench Sunny, Rain The Stacks Night
5 Dace Sunny Calypso Island Night
5 Grayling Sunny Calypso Island Day
5 Perch Sunny Calypso Island Night
6 Roach Sunny, Fog, Clouds Industrial District Day
6 Ruffe Rain, Fog, Storm Industrial District Day
6 Sabrefish Sunny, Fog, Clouds Industrial District Night
7 Zope Sunny, Rain The Stacks Night
7 Zander Sunny, Rain The Stacks Day
7 Taimen Rain, Fog, Storm The Stacks Day
8 Whitefish Sunny, Rain, Fog, Storm, Clouds The Stacks Night
8 Rainbow Trout Rain, Fog, Storm Industrial District Night
8 Salmon Sunny Industrial District Day, Night

All Fish by Location

This is the version I actually use in practice. Rather than bouncing around by tier, I pick a spot and clear everything available there — it saves a ton of travel time. Note that Salmon can show up in the Industrial District during both day and night, so it’s one of the more flexible tier-8 catches if you happen to be in the area.

Location Time Weather Fish Tier
Everywhere Any time Any weather Burbot 1
Everywhere Any time Any weather Pike 1
Everywhere Any time Any weather Stickleback 1
Calypso Island Day Sunny Lake Trout 3
Calypso Island Day Sunny Grayling 5
Calypso Island Night Sunny Ide 3
Calypso Island Night Sunny Dace 5
Calypso Island Night Sunny Perch 5
Industrial District Day Sunny, Fog, Clouds Roach 6
Industrial District Day Rain, Fog, Storm Ruffe 6
Industrial District Day, Night Sunny Salmon 8
Industrial District Night Sunny, Rain, Storm Rudd 2
Industrial District Night Sunny, Fog, Clouds Sabrefish 6
Industrial District Night Rain, Fog, Storm Rainbow Trout 8
Seaside Boardwalk Day Rain, Storm, Clouds Crucian 2
Seaside Boardwalk Day Clouds, Dusty, Fog Bream 4
Seaside Boardwalk Night Clouds, Dusty, Storm Carp 3
Seaside Boardwalk Night Rain, Storm, Sunny Brook Trout 4
The Stacks Day Sunny, Rain Volga Zander 2
The Stacks Day Sunny, Rain Zander 7
The Stacks Day Rain, Fog, Storm Taimen 7
The Stacks Night Sunny, Rain Tench 4
The Stacks Night Sunny, Rain Zope 7
The Stacks Night Sunny, Rain, Fog, Storm, Clouds Whitefish 8

Once the fishing side is wrapped up, most players I know move on to the city’s other activities — I’d point you at The Coffee Run guide if you’re coordinating a run around town, and the Noodle Bar guide is worth a look when you’re picking your next stop between casts.

Quick Notes on Weather and Time

A few details I don’t want you to gloss over while scanning the tables. Weather combos aren’t interchangeable — if a fish lists Sunny, Rain, and Storm, it will not appear in Fog or Dusty, no matter how long you stand there. I’ve seen people waste an evening session expecting a fish to show up because “the weather looked close enough,” and it just doesn’t work that way. Match the condition exactly.

  • Any weather / Any time / Everywhere fish are the three tier-1 catches — grab them whenever, wherever.
  • Fish requiring multiple weather types give you a wider window, so they’re naturally easier to slot into an existing session.
  • Single-weather fish like Ide, Lake Trout, and Grayling (all Sunny) are the ones that punish impatience — wait for the right sky.
  • Whitefish stands out as accepting five different weather conditions at night in The Stacks, making it one of the more forgiving tier-8 catches.

That’s the full list as it stands. Get your tier-1s out of the way early, plan your remaining trips around location rather than tier, and let the weather decide when you finally close out the collection.
