Killsquad: Cass Critical Shuriken Nuke

Posted on July 24, 2019

A build I came up with for a hybrid Cass mostly based around DPS but with the ability to Tank mobs and minor bosses.

The build and why it works!

The main focus of this build is group/solo DPS. It’s your job to help debuff enemies as well as provide consistent damage on mobs and heavy single target on bosses! You’re gunna wanna go for a few specific items.

You need these items in specific because of how they work together. I know you’re probably thinking, how could a build focused around lowering your own health also tank? Well I’m here to explain that. Let’s start item by item.

Killsquad: Cass Critical Shuriken Nuke
The sword needs to have Crit, it is the only real requirement for this item. If you can get a double shuriken buff then do so as well, this will increase damage by a decent amount and also keep shuriken’s cooldown exceptionally low. By having crit on the weapon you drastically increase the chances of shuriken critically hitting which is a mainstay of this build.

For the support piece I chose to roll for extra life and shield. The shield constantly regenerates and is a good buffer for the random hit or two that gets you and the extra life keeps you’re base HP high enough to survive most anything, which you are going to need due to constantly being below 40% health.

Another important piece of gear for the game is to get a double debuff rolled Proto gear. This helps keep enemy damage low when you are in the thick of it and allows for a break away in the form of a slow for when you need to hop out and recoup or cover a teammates escape.

The skills to go with are required in this order for my specific build. We want to take the level 2 shuriken skill as it allows you to hit multiple enemies twice in a row! The next skill will be the level 4 dash. Followed by the best AOE mob clear ultimate Phase Breaker at level 6. At level 8 we will take another dash skill and finally the Death and life at level 10, we want to do this because it allows for almost instant full health bar regen which can get you out of some sticky situations. The reason we skip most shuriken skills along the tree is because if you were to take the level 4 shuriken tree it removes the ability for shuriken to crit and also removes the small amount of lifesteal you get from your sword when you hit with it.
