Killsquad: Best Weapon Perks and Class Perks Guide

Posted on July 22, 2019
To get a general idea of what this Guide is going to teach you I’m going to explain a few things first.
First of all, “What are Perks/Weapon Perks?”
Well, Perks are temporary unlocks that reset after each mission, you can view them under Heroes > Skills, each Character has 5 of them which unlock after 2 Levels each. Each Perk-column also has different options to choose from, you can only pick one per column.
Weapon Perks however are completely randomized perks that your weapon can roll each time you get a new one, depending on the rarity of a weapon there’s either 1 Perk (Blue Rarity), 2 Perks (Purple Rarity) or 3 Perks (Purple/Yellow Rarity), you have to use materials to unlock them. Currently there’s no way to get a specific roll or reroll your weapons. There’s also fixed Weapon Perks which are bound to weapon-types, they’re shown as the first perk on each weapon and are available by default without having to unlock them.

Now you’re probably thinking; “Well, there’s a lot of Perks I’ve seen already, what should I go for and which are the best ones?”, which brings us to the next section.

The general guide to the currently best Weapon Perks and Class Perks

Now that I’ve explained what Perks are and where you can find them I’m gonna tell you the best Weapon Perks and Class Perks for each class in the game. BUT to make my decisions a bit clearer I’ll explain my reasoning.
I’ll also not go into different kind of builds, this guide aims to go for raw DMG/ability DMG, this is not a guide to crit-based builds or utility builds.

Troy

Considering he’s the best DMG-dealer in the game currently you should definitely focus on damage output at all costs, survivability comes second.

Best Weapon-type:
Imperishable Glory
This weapon gives you:

  • +2 Extra Execution Marks
  • +2 Seconds Execution Mark Duration

Considering that his Strong Shot ability is his strongest DMG tool, we’ll want to upgrade one of his weaker abilities a bit by adding extra duration to make marking more enemies easier and also increase the total count of marked enemies.

Best Weapon Perks:
Noxious: additional 20% DMG for everything.
Right Here, Right Now: 50% Lifesteal on every basic attack. (Not working, but it’s gonna be fixed)
Any Ability DMG increase/CD decrease Perk: honestly, you’re gonna love them.

Killsquad: Best Weapon Perks and Class Perks Guide
Class Perks:
T1: Dead Man Walking: additional 20% DMG for everything as long as your Enemies are marked.
T2: Trail of Destruction: free DMG for your Strong Shot and easy CC ability.
T3: Shadow Clones: 15s of huge DMG which also gets buffed by Dead Man Walking.
T4: Linked Fate: 20% Splash DMG to all marked enemies.
T5: Extra Round: 100% more DMG on every Execution activation. Must Pick.

Kosmo

His best ability is by far Whirlwind since it has HUGE up-time, a lot of CC potential and also a lot of Armor generation from Overshield.

Best Weapon-type:
Rackat’s Bulwark
This weapon gives you:

  • +60% Damage reduction while performing Whirlwind.

More tankiness, on his best ability? There’s no reason to not take this.

Best Weapon Perks:
Noxious: additional 20% DMG for everything.
Right Here, Right Now: 50% Lifesteal on every basic attack. (Not working, but it’s gonna be fixed)
Whirlwind DMG increase/CD decrease Perk: literally spin-to-win.

Class Perks:
T1: Twister: double-length of Whirlwind.
T2: Berserk Burning Aura: 50% more DMG for you and your squad.
T3: Aerial Blast: 2,5k base DMG, affected by every buff/perk in the game. Insane.
T4: Mechanic Energy: faster Armor regeneration = more survivability. Must Pick.
T5: Emergency Shield: free self revive every 60s, good for co-op, even better for solo.

Cass

She relies on long ability combo strings to render small enemies immovable and make them useless. Her best ability is by far the Teleport Shuriken.

Best Weapon-type:
Anything. Some are good, some are meh. No real best pick.

Best Weapon Perks:
Noxious: additional 20% DMG for everything.
Right Here, Right Now: 50% Lifesteal on every basic attack. (Not working, but it’s gonna be fixed)
Teleport Shuriken DMG increase/CD decrease Perk: Omae wa mō shindeiru.

Killsquad: Best Weapon Perks and Class Perks Guide
Class Perks:
T1: Shuriken Ricochet: double the DMG. Double the teleports.
T2: Teleport Bomb: huge CC on every teleport.
T3: Phase Breaker: huge AoE-CC with 2,5k base DMG.
T4: In and Out: 2s CD-reduction if you kill an enemy. Nice.
T5: Death & Life: free health regeneration. Can full heal you.

Zero

Healer. His most useful ability is, of course, his Healing Kit.
Note: There’s currently no perk that he can get to buff his Healing Kit in any kind of way, on WEAPONS. So instead we’re going to buff his other abilities..

Best Weapon-type:
Dies Irae
This weapon gives you:

  • 25% chance to apply Burn damage for 3 seconds, dealing 45 damage every 0.5 seconds.
READ:  Killsquad: Cass Critical Shuriken Nuke

Does what it says, 25% chance for free 270DMG.

Best Weapon Perks:
Noxious: additional 20% DMG for everything.
Right Here, Right Now: 50% Lifesteal on every basic attack. (Not working, but it’s gonna be fixed)
Photon Bolt/Laser Trap DMG increase/CD decrease Perk: preference based.

Killsquad: Best Weapon Perks and Class Perks Guide
Class Perks:
T1: Enhanced Healing Kit: buffs the Med-Kit from 500 to 3000 after 3s. Must Pick.
T2: Overcharged Laser: 100% up-time 25% buff to 100% DMG buff after dodging.
T3: Event Horizon: huge DMG, better than Cass’s Ult by far.*
T4: Healing Area: splash healing for the whole squad. Must Pick.
T5: Steerable Superball: more DMG if you can balance the ball on the boss/enemies.

*Note: There’s no reason to go for Self Medication, the healing is abyssmal and the buffs are useless at best.

You gave so much info on everybody but Cass, you would have just been better off stating you don’t play Cass much to give any input. Her most important skill is not just Teleport shuriken, although used correctly very good for setting up combos and survivability. Her dodge attack set up correctly is by far her best damage ability especially endgame. It has low cooldown with several weapon improving an already low CD and high damage straight AOE. With lvl 8 passive it will do 140% extra damage, and you can reduce the cooldown by half at lvl 10 with yet another amazing perk. With solar edge you can even get another 140% increase to the damage as the buff counts for her dash (not sure if this is a bug or if the devs consider her dash a basic attack / improper effect description on weapon.) Both are great skills with different uses. (Teleport Shuriken is typically used as a defensive skill in current late game.) No specified best weapon? Ace of Spades is a pretty insane DPS jump adding crit damage to attacks. There is also Nlood Thirst. Causes enemies to bleed 50 damage every second for 6 seconds. You gave Dies Irae BiS to zero when that bleed does 30 less damage, even if it is in a shorter bleed duration.
