For Dying Light 2 players who ever wanted to experience the game again with all of your upgrades and weapons, this guide will show you how.
How to Play New Game+
1- Since this is going to overwrite your current save, you are going to need to backup your save first, just in case anything goes wrong, so head to:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\Your Steam Id”
Look for a file named “534380”, now just back it up by making it into an archive or by copying it and pasting somewhere else.
2- Now you are going to need to get the developer menu for this to work, so head to the nexus and download it, using the link below:
(note: you are going to need an account to download mods from the nexus, so make sure you do that first.)
3- After you have downloaded the developer menu, open it using winrar or 7zip, now click on the folder inside the zip file, you will see a file named “ph”, now take that and drop it in the game’s folder, the directory for which is:
“C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Dying Light 2”
4- Now you have successfully installed the developer menu, all we got to do now is go in-game, once you are in-game, hit the escape button, you will notice a menu as appeared on the right side of the screen, navigate to it and press on the first option “Invoke with choices”, once you have done that, now press the “home” button on your keyboard, this should roll back your campaign, now if you exit this menu and go back in-game, you will notice the game has been bugged, no worries, you just need to exit to the main menu, and hit continue again, and congrats now you have a completely functional new game plus.
Here is a video explaining it further:
Note: If you come across the tutorial mission bug where you can’t lockpick the door, just go back to the “invoke with choices” menu, and look for “markers of the plague”, find the first “upcoming” event, and hit enter on your keyboard, keep doing that until the bugged part is skipped.
