For Digimon Survive players who are useing Steam Deck and have encountered cutscene freeze and crash, this guide will show you how.

Steam Deck Cutscene Freeze/Crash “Fix”

  1. Go to Desktop mode
  2. navigate in the the game folder to the file “AVProVideo.dll”
    (should be: /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamaaps/common/Digimon Survive/DigimonSurvive_Data/Plugins/x86_64/)
  3. rename AVProVideo.dll to AVProVideo.dll.bak (or to something else)
  4. watch cutscenes on youtube…
  5. change back to gaming mode and profit(?)
  6. (if it ever gets fixed just redo the change)
