For Destiny 2 players, this guide provides the locations of all nine entropic shards scattered across Europa’s frozen surface. Let’s check it out.
Entropic Shard Locations
These shards are required to progress in the “Studying Darkness” triumph, as well as a stepping stone in completing “Aspect of Control” mission which will reward you with new Stasis abilities.
Make sure you have completed the mission which rewards the Exotic Grenade Launcher: Salvation’s Grip, which will be needed to destroy the shards to progress the mission. To receive the exotic, you must first complete the Beyond Light campaign in its entirety.
There are nine total Entropic Shards for you to destroy across Europa, and once you have Salvation’s Grip in your grubby little Guardian mitts you’re ready to go. However, before you get the mission to do so, you’ll have to finish the quest, Born in Darkness 1.
Shard 1: Cadmus Ridge
The first shard is right outside the building leading to Bray Exoscience, lying in the snowy corner.
Shard 2: Creation
In Bray Exoscience stay right and hook up the stairs, through the lab. The same route you would take in order to visit good ol’ Clovis. The shard will be floating in between two large cyan walkways. This shard was previously unable to reach prior to the release of The Lament questline (Lost Lament).
Shard 3: Asterion Abyss
The second shard is atop the large Vex construct. If you climb it from the right side, you’ll find it tucked away among one of its corners.
Shard 4: Concealed Void Lost Sector
Go through the Concealed Void sector as you normally would, and take out the Fallen boss at the end while you’re at it. Once its down, move towards the center of the room and look upwards. You should see a bright light, the shard will be floating there. Add it to the collection.
Shard 5: Eventide Ruins
From Asterian Abyss you will need to go towards the Eventide Ruins. You’ll see a broken segment of metal, amidst the wreck lies the fourth shard.
Shard 5: Bunker E15 Lost Sector
While in Eventide Ruins, stop at Bunker E15. Once you get to the room with several cells holding BrayTech Security Frames, clear out all the Vex. Look back towards the windowed wall, it’s located near the top-right.
Shard 7: Riis-Reborn Approach
Not gonna lie, this one is a jog. Once you get to the Riis-Reborn Approach you’ll need to take both gravity lifts. Once you go up the first, run through the enemies until you reach the second lift. If this area is sealed, you’ll have to finish the rest of the campaign. After taking the second gravity lift, the seventh shard will be under the first set of stairs.
Shard 8: Technocrat’s Iron
As you progress through the Riis-Reborn Approach, you’ll come across a teleporter. Once you’re through, take the left path and follow it all the way past the conveyor belt-like room all the way to the boss room.
The shard will be floating above the pillars to the right of the entrance.
Shard 9: Kell’s Rising
Finally, there’s an Entropic Shard in Kell’s Rising. The shard is found on the very last platform you can reach in the city. When you get to the platform, there will be two Vandal snipers up on the right, defeat them and jump up to their platform to find a small set of stairs – the shard is under here.
