For Mega Man Zero/ZX Legacy Collection players who are collecting achievements, this is a complete achievement guide, let’s check it out.
Intro
The game has a normal mode and an easy (Casual) mode, in which you are given all cyber elves by default, leveled-up all weapons and health, and removed almost all spikes and traps in the levels. In the easy mode, some achievements are not counted, I will pay attention to this.
The game has an option to activate the checkpoint system, which does not affect the general statistics when playing. This greatly simplifies the original games, but does not make them too easy. Their activation has no effect on achievements. If you want to relax more or less – turn it on, if you want to suffer – turn it off.
Mega Man Zero 1 (5 achievements)
Rude Awakening
Complete the opening stage in Mega Man Zero.Just finish it!
Permission To Enter
Enter Ciel’s room at the base in Mega Man Zero.
Enter Ciel’s room in the underground base. It is located right behind her, at the location where she saves the game and gives missions. To get into the room (where the cyber elf is hidden), you need to have an S or A progress rank (the current progress rank is displayed on the health scale on the “tab” at the top of it). It should also work in Casual mode.
But this achievement is easy to get in normal mode – start a new game, complete the first level and try not to get injured (if you are injured – load the checkpoint), in the battle with the boss you can miss two or three hits. If everything was done correctly, then it will be A and this is enough for the door to open. If not – the last checkpoint was in front of the Golem, try again.
Patience Is A Virtue
Listen to all of Andrew’s monologues to the end in Mega Man Zero (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
Andrew walks in the underground base and tells a story if you start a dialogue with him. In the middle of the dialogue, he will ask if we are bored or continue. You need to ask to continue, and at the end you will get an achievement.
Ice Breaker
Destroy the ice dragon summoned with Leviathan’s “Spirit of the Ocean” EX Skill in Mega Man Zero.
To get this achievement, you need the Leviathan boss to use a EX-attack on you – it releases an ice dragon. Leviathan only applies it if you have a current mission rank of S or A. The rank in the game is increasing or decreasing depending on each mission completed, so it takes a bit of effort to get this achievement. Achievement can also be obtained in Casual mode, where it is quite easy to maintain an A rating.
The optimal way to select missions: Start > Disposal Center > Find Shuttle > Find Hidden Base > Stop the Hacking.
Leviathan will be waiting for you here.
I’ll Leave This World To You…
Complete Mega Man Zero (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Mega Man Zero 2 (5 achievements)
Defeat Gazamir in Mega Man Zero 2.This boss occurs on the Phoenix Magnion level, but is very easy to miss. You can find it like this – the task of the mission is to destroy four reactors, and when you destroy the first one, you will get to a location with lava and flying bombs.
Go to the next door, and don’t go there, but notice that there is a maverick walking around below. It is necessary to direct the bomb so that it breaks the wall (pointed with an arrow).
Then drop down and keep going right along that pink secret branch of the level.
(You can find another semi-boss Golem on it, but it’s not that important. Bomb your way down here for him)
Then, killing him or missing him, you will reach a large location with lava, at the end of which there will be a ladder and the boss Gazamir.
Lookin’ Xy!
Obtain the X Form in Mega Man Zero 2.
To do this, you need to kill more than fifty enemies with a booster at any level. In my opinion, the Phoenix Magnion level is good for this, where at first you can run back and forth to kill mavericks. At the end of the level on the result screen you will get the following messages at the bottom:
You can activate the received forms in the pause menu by pressing R.
Disaster Prevention
Intercept the bombardment aircraft in Mega Man Zero 2.
A story achievement not to be missed. As soon as you complete the first four missions from Elpizo, an alarm will sound at the base and two mandatory levels will begin. At the end of the second, you have to protect Ciel while she deactivates the bomb. The achievement drops when she finishes.
Going Out With A Bang
Use an EX Skill to score the final hit against any boss in Mega Man Zero 2.
You can get EX-skills if you reach any boss with a general rating of S or A and kill him.
The rank, as in the previous game, increases or decreases depending on each completed mission. Achievements can be obtained in Casual Mode, where it is much easier to keep level A (or S).
Optimal Path: Starting Mission > Poler Kamrous > Panter Flauclaws.
In the first mission, just go to the end trying not to get hurt. Also, I would recommend at the beginning of the level to stand for a while and shoot some mavericks in order to score some points for killed enemies.
Next, at the level of Poler Kamrous, you will already be with rank A (S), so just get to the boss and kill him. At the end you get EX-skill.
Next, go to the level of Panter Flauclaws, go to the boss, do enough damage to him, then in the pause menu activate the received EX-skill (R button to go to the selection menu), activate the element of ice, switch the weapon to a booster.
And deliver a final blow with it.
It’s Not Over Yet
Complete Mega Man Zero 2 (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Mega Man Zero 3 (6 achievements)
Exit Cyberspace after experiencing it for the first time in Mega Man Zero 3.Entrances to cyberspace are located on the levels in the form of ghost doors. Everything is very simple – enter one such door…
…then reach the other and leave. The achievement is yours!
Try Growin’ That Back!
Cut off Blazin’ Flizard’s tail in Mega Man Zero 3.
Blazin’ Flizard has a tail, you need to jump behind the boss, hit him with the z-saber – the tail will fall off and start jumping on the floor. Done!
Proof of Justice
Defeat Copy X Mark II in Mega Man Zero 3.
Stpry related. Unlike the previous games in the series, this one does not have eight Masters, but eleven: 4-3-4. After you complete the first 4 and the next 3, there will be a mandatory mission at the end of which Copy X will be waiting.
Does A Body Good
Obtain all body chips in Mega Man Zero 3.
Chips of different body parts are given for defeating bosses, so when you defeat everyone in the story, you will automatically receive this achievement. Only the body chips that count, there are only six of them, but they cannot be missed.
Fated Rematch
Defeat Phantom in Cyberspace in Mega Man Zero 3 (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode). (Secret)
He hides in cyberspace near the very end of the game, in the Sub Arcadia level. This level starts as soon as you defeat the last four bosses of your choice. Not too far from the beginning of the level, a descent will begin, in which there is a door to cyberspace. Enter them and go down to the very bottom.
The normal path from here will be to the left and down…
…but we need to get to the upper left corner.
There, behind the door, there will be a teleporter to Phantom, who has been waiting for you since the first game. Defeat him and get the achievement.
I Am Zero
Complete Mega Man Zero 3 (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Mega Man Zero 4 (5 achievements)
Defeat a boss with three Junk chips equipped and without a cyber-elf equipped in Mega Man Zero 4.
To get this achievement quickly, start the game in Casual mode, you will already have all the necessary chips in your inventory (scroll to the very bottom of the list). Just equip them all, reach the boss and defeat him.
(Or you have to collect these elements experimenting with the recipes).
Chip Maker
Create a chip by combining collected parts in Mega Man Zero 4.
Chips can be created in the lab alongside the command center.
The game offers to combine elements yourself, but it is very boring and almost fruitless. So as soon as you complete the first two (mandatory) starting missions, go to the human camp and talk to them, they will give you three recipes. But you can combine this achievement with the next one, for which no one will give a recipe…
Crystal Maker
Create an S-Crystal in Mega Man Zero 4.
So, to create a S-crystal we need the following elements: Faital; Machameson; V.Fire; Ceratanium. The first three items drop from enemies, the last one can only be found in levels. In my opinion, the easiest way to do this is at the Particle Beam level. In the second half of it, where a huge laser shoots, there is such a place:
The turret that Zero is on gives a Faital item, the reploid on top gives V.Fire, and behind him is a Ceratanium element.
It remains only to go somewhere for the fourth element. For example, to the Deep Sea level. It falls out of this enemy:
Now you need to go back to the base and make the S-Crystal, you don’t need to know the recipe, just add all four elements as on my screenshot above.
This crystal can be traded in your camp for a Sub Tank (several times!) from her:
Crisis Averted
Defeat Craft in the Ragnarok Control Room and stop Ragnarok in Mega Man Zero 4.
Story related. This mission will start when you defeat all eight bosses, complete it, and after defeating the boss you will recieve this achievement.
Watch, Zero…
Complete Mega Man Zero 4 (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Mega Man ZX (6 achievements)
Double Megamerge after inheriting Model Z in Mega Man ZX.Story related. When you gain access to the headquarters, a mandatory mission will begin, after which you will receive this achievement.
Like Taking Candy From A Baby
Obtain a W Tank in Mega Man ZX.
The clue is in the name, actually. Once you gain access to the HQ and the ZX biometal, there is a room in the command center with a bunch of children’s toys. Hit the toy tied to the ceiling with the saber and keep hitting it until the container falls out.
Laser Surgery
Obtain a biometal with a Lv. 4 victory in Mega Man ZX.
The higher the level, the less you need to restore part of the biometal in the laboratory. Probably the fastest (although it will still take some practice) to do this at the Secure the Biometal level. When fighting the boss, only hit him in the back when he’s crawling along the vine. You can use a normal z-saber. In no case do not hit him on the hands, this is his weak point! (If you hit, you’ll see a specific flash of the screen, so load a checkpoint and start again).
Or you can postpone this achievement for later and grind this boss to a pulp, it will be very simple there – do everything as in the screenshot and continue beating until the end (do not touch his turbines):
Bloodthirsty Messiah
Defeat Omega in Area N in Mega Man ZX (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
After the boss in location M:
…next there will be a transerver, according to the story you need to use it and move to location D, but to the right you can go further to location N. Get to the end of the level (the upper part, with spikes and dissapearing platforms), and there the secret boss Omega will be waiting for you.
To the Nines
Obtain all Item B chips in Mega Man ZX.
The achievement is not obvious, it is easy to miss, because chips are given by NPCs after certain events, but you have to talk to them several times. After receiving, to use the chip, you need to additionally activate it in the pause menu.
Eraser
This chip is available almost from the beginning of the game. Once you are in the headquarters, on the second floor of the warehouse, talk to one of the soldiers several times until he gives you it.
Ice Boots
It all depends on who you started the game with: Aile or Vent. With Aile, it can be completed quite quickly (I received it after get the first halves of Hx, Fx, Px), you need to get and complete a quest from this girl (find the Mushroom, which is actually a bird).
The boots will be given when you go to the transerver to submit a report on the completed mission.
For Vent, the quest will be available when you collect all the biometal parts. You need to talk to this boy, then a quest with several tasks will begin, as a result of which you will receive boots.
Featherweight
When you fight off the attack on your base, go down to the second floor and at the end of the corridor, talk to the soldier several times – you will receive a chip.
Frog
To get this chip, you must first complete a side quest to find children playing hide and seek in a burning house. When you complete it and submit the report, return to the city and find this door.
There will be a boy inside, you need to talk to him several times, but you MUST (unlike all other people in the city) be with any biometal equipped.
Absorber
This chip can be obtained when you complete the main mission to save people in location I (and get the second half of biometal Fx). A man will appear in the house in front of the fountain in location C2, who will give it to you if you talk to him several times.
Extender
You’ll get this chip when you’ve completed all two side missions for this guy, Silure, who’s on the HQ between the transceiver and the elevator:
Missions will become available at the same time as the previous chip, after saving people in location I. The chip will be given when you send a mission report.
Wind Boots
You will get this chip when you complete the side mission for Anguille, the scientist at the HQ who is standing a little to the left of the transerver. Missions will become available at the same time as the previous chip, after saving people in location I.
The chip will be given when you send a mission report.
Quick Charger
When you have collected both halves of all biometals, talk to the professor in the lab several times until he gives you the last chip.
Towards the Future I Believe In
Complete Mega Man ZX (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Mega Man ZX Advent (5 achievements)
Copy an enemy’s data for the first time in Mega Man ZX Advent. As you get biometal A in the second mission and defeat the boss on the train, you will copy his data and get the achievement.
I Don’t Need Biometals
Defeat a boss in Grey’s Reploid form or Ashe’s Human form in Mega Man ZX Advent.
The very first boss in the prologue doesn’t count, but starting with the train mission, when you get biometal A, you can get it.
You can postpone the achievement for later and defeat the Hedgeshock boss without biometals (closer to the end of the game), for which you will receive a gold medal for the next achievement.
Pedal to the Medals
Obtain at least one of each bronze, silver, and gold medals in Mega Man ZX Advent.
Medals are awarded for defeating bosses with certain conditions. It is almost impossible to guess the conditions, but after defeating them, the bosses regenerate after a while, so it will be possible to return to them already in side missions.
In the Hunter’s Camp1 there are hunters on the roof who will occasionally issue tasks to defeat the bosses again. If you agree to someone’s mission and talk to him again, he will tell you tips on how to get which medal.
If you forgot which medals you already have, you can look at them in the Hunter’s Camp1 cafe, at the very end there is a separate room with shelves.
In my opinion, the easiest options are:
Gold Medal: Kill Bifrost using only Biometal A homing shots.
Silver medal: (slightly depends on the random) kill the Queenbee so that she never releases bees on you.
Bronze medal: kill the Queenbee only by hitting the hive.
Can Never Be Too Prepared
Obtain all 4 subtanks in Mega Man ZX Advent.
The first sub tank can be found quite early, as soon as you get the Rospark form and go through the Arctic Ice Floe2 level, there will be cables that you can climb up.
The second subtank is in LegionHQ2. Try to go down to the very bottom after each skyscraper, in one of them it is hidden behind glass. It is not difficult to get it, on the right side of the house there is a flying platform that you can use to break the glass.
The third subtank can be obtained on Floating Ruins3 level – complete Meg’s side quest and find all the ancient artifacts in the location. There are four artifacts in total, one hidden in each area of the Floating Ruins. It’s not hard to find them, but you need a lot of different abilities, so you should get it when you get access to the green door.
The fourth subtank will be available towards the end of the game when you have access to the green door. He is waiting for you in Mysterious Lab3 – almost in front of the door to the boss there is a place where you need to insert two batteries into the cells, and after that the door will open above. To take a subtank, you need the doppleganger ability of Argoyle/Ugoyle bosses.
A Chosen Fate
Complete Mega Man ZX Advent (cannot be earned in Casual Scenario Mode).
As it says. Playing with checkpoints is allowed.
Other achievements (5 achievements)
Outrun the ghost for the first time in Z Chaser. In the additional game mode, Z Chaser, defeat the “ghost” once – the pre-recorded level completing data.
Running The Gauntlet
Complete all stages in Z Chaser (including hidden stage).
The main problem is that you need to complete the secret level as well, and it opens if you got rank S on all levels. In addition, it should be noted that when passing ZX and ZXA, you must select level S before the start, otherwise the result will not be counted (but it works for me on Zero levels).
Easy Listening
Listen to 3 tracks from each album in the Music Player, then beat any game and listen to its ending theme.
Listen 3 tracks from each album in the game’s music player (there is also an additional album with remixes as free DLC, it probably isn’t is taken into account, but go to the store and add to the library), and then complete any game and wait for the credits to end.
Card Collector
View 30 cards across all six titles in the Gallery, then change the wallpaper to the secret image.
The cards duplicate game achievements, so when you get 30 achievements, go to their gallery and take a look on them. Then go into any game and change the background from standard to special (it will be called that).
The background will be available much earlier, after getting 15 achievements.
Everlasting Red
Complete Mega Man Zero, Zero 2, Zero 3, Zero 4, ZX, and ZX Advent.
As it says: complete all six games.
