So, what is auxiliary equipment? Auxiliary equipment is gear that is not in your primary nine slots (weapon, accessories, and armor). This includes your Talisman, Catalapis, and Artifact. Auxiliary equipment could also refer to things that are applied to your armor, weapon, or accessories after the fact like enchant orbs or soul gems.
Talisman
After reaching 110k CP, you will receive a quest that asks you to collect 3 rare materials from every challenge dungeon. The drop rate of these materials are somewhat low. It is recommended to salvage Captain’s gear in order to obtain “Conquest General’s Exchange Box”. This box lets you choose a rare material from the challenge dungeons. You will need 18 of these boxes in total to complete the quest.
Once you hand in the quest, you will receive a Low Talisman and your talisman slot will be unlocked. In the event that you lose this, you can also buy one from Rubal for 500k gold.
Any level 70 dungeon clear will give talisman EXP. The amount of EXP gained varies by dungeon (likely tied to number of sectors). It is recommended to pick a challenge dungeon that you can run quickly as that will give you gold and other drops as well.
Talisman EXP is not tied to the stats it can provide. You will need to increase the stats separately. The EXP raises the stat cap that you can obtain.
In order for the talisman to provide stats, you will need to feed it [Talisman] Origins. There is a different Origin for each stat and will give a set amount each time.
In your inventory, click the Talisman button at the bottom left. This will open the menu to increase the talisman stats.
Most of the materials can be bought from Rubal with green stones. There is also a daily dungeon called Stragglers’ Camp that you can run 3 times a day. Running this dungeon on higher steps will have a higher chance of dropping Origins and evolution materials.
Every 20 talisman levels, you will need to evolve it before it can level any further. You can choose to evolve it at any time if you have the materials, it doesn’t need to be EXP capped.
To evolve it, head over to the Evolution Expert Blacksmith Eogiyacha and give him the necessary materials. The cost will increase as the evolutions progress. You will need [Talisman] Origin of evolution, Blue Magic Crystals, and gold.
Evolving it also changes the color and appearance while in dungeons!
Catalapis
A rare catalapis has 1000 charges and can’t be enhanced. A legendary catalapis can be enhanced up to +12 and hold 11000 charges. The legendary catalapis’ also comes with prime attribute.
After reaching 110k CP, you will receive a quest to unlock the catalapis slot as well as a free catalapis. You are free to choose any as the bonus effects aren’t too important (just don’t pick Ice Armor).
Legendary catalapis’ can be obtained from a random box from Rubal for 100 green stones.
As you use skills in dungeons, the catalapis will deplete and you will eventually have to recharge it. Right clicking a catalapis while unequipped will bring up the charging menu. It will consume a number of Blue Magic Crystal Pieces and Cracked Core of Catalapis. The cracked cores can be purchased from Rubal for 50000 gold each.
Since the legendary catalapis holds more charges, obviously it will cost more to recharge.
Just like any other piece of equipment, enhancing is done at the Strengthening Anvil. Catalapis’ and artifacts share the same enhance materials and safeguards. You will need [Auxiliary] Enhancement Stones to enhance.
Enhancing past +3 will destroy the catalapis on if the enhance fails. The rare Safeguard Fuse will prevent destruction, but reduce the enhancement by 1. Safeguard Fuse Plus will prevent destruction and keep the current enhancement.
[Auxiliary] Enhancement stones and safeguards can be found in the dungeon Haunted Spellfurnace. This dungeon can be completed 3 times daily, with 10 additional entries if you have entry tickets. The enhancement stones and rare safeguards will drop frequently, whereas the Safeguard Fuse Plus is somewhat rare.
These can also be purchased from Scarufo with blue stones (except Safeguard Fuse Plus)
The special option affects the buff you receive when using EX in dungeons (pressing tab). This buff will apply up to 10 times in a single dungeon and resets on death. While the buff isn’t too important, there are some good ones such as increasing elemental damage, damage type, or healing. These effectiveness of these bonuses will mostly be dependent on your class and playstyle. Legendary catalapis effects will be increased at certain enhancements.
These yellow circles represent your Catalapis special effects remaining for the dungeon, and the xxxx/1000 represents your current power core charge.
Artifact
You first obtain your artifact slot and a rare artifact selector after completing the story mission at 110K CP. After acquiring it, you can open up the selector and will get one with your prime attribute upon selection.
In order to pick the appropriate artifact for yourself, you should determine your primary damage type (slash, crush/smash, pierce). You can do this by opening up your skill menu and checking the status of your skills by looking at them in your skill menu or hovering over them on your skill bar. If you have more than one damage type, you should consider testing in the training grounds to determine what type is most effective for your class or playstyle.
Elemental artifacts are another option, but damage type will give you more damage on average.
Just like any other piece of equipment, enhancing is done at the Strengthening Anvil. Catalapis’ and artifacts share the same enhance materials and safeguards. You will need [Auxiliary] Enhancement Stones to enhance.
Enhancing past +3 will destroy the artifact if the enhance fails.
Rare artifacts can roll up to 4 lines for identification while legendary artifacts can roll up to 5 lines however, the fifth line is not always present and is random. The range of rolls is extremely large and finding the perfect stats will be difficult without spending a lot of scrolls. Getting decent rolls will be much more doable compared to perfect rolls and should be the approach that is taken towards reidentifying your artifact.
Enchant Orbs
Some things to know about enchant orbs:
Using an orb on an item with a charm already in it will overwrite the charm
Charms are retained upon enhancement transfers.
Charms have specific pieces they fit into and are specified on the tooltip
In order to apply an enchant orb onto a piece of gear, you need to select it from your consumables tab and then right click it.
Afterwards you need to left click on an equipped piece of gear you wish to enchant.
Confirming that you wish to place the charm on, you accept the prompt.
That’s all there is to it! Now you’re charmed up and ready to go.
Enchant orbs can be obtained randomly from dungeons, and in the following ways:
2/2 Thursday daily dungeon
Purchasing them with green stones from Rubal
Synthesizing charms and fusing them together
Soul Gems
Head – Sapphire
Hands – Sapphire
Weapon – Sapphire
Chest – Ruby
Legs – Ruby
Feet – Ruby
Accessories – Topaz
In order to equip a soul gem, you must either bring it to the soul gem machine (if you’re old school) or access it through your inventory.
After visiting the Jewel Funie, you will be presented with a screen that shows what soul gems you currently have equipped.
Selecting the second tab, S.Stone Equip, you can place an item inside which will allow you to socket the piece of gear. A word of caution that you will bind the gear to your character if you do this.
At this point you will have an unlocked piece which can now accept soul gems from your inventory.
When trying to put a soul gem on your weapon, you might come across the option to omni socket something.
While this item will allow you to open up the slot to put any type of gem inside, it is not worth the cost to do so except in extremely specific circumstances. Only use this if you’re heavily min/max with lots of proper calculations or you’re trying to purely increase combat power (not to be confused with combat strength or damage)
You can combine five (5) gems of the same type and tier to increase its rank by one (1).
You can also combine two same tier soul gems in order to create a new soul gem of the same tier. You can do this to create a gem at random.
If you wish to select the specific gem you get out of combining gems, it will cost soul gem selectors (purchasable from Rubal with green stones).
Soul gems are mainly acquired from daily missions but can also be bought. Here are a few ways to acquire them:
Emergency Sweep
Amount of entries per day: 3
Amount of resets available: 10
The third tab in Cogwheel are your soul gem dungeons. The starting Combat Power (CP) requirement is 38,500 and the most difficult one is 154,000 CP. In order for the best drop rates, you should select the most difficult rightmost dungeon. These will drop soul gems you can put into your gear as well as etherforce. A must do daily dungeon.
Stairway to the sky
Amount of entries per day: 1
Amount of resets available: 3
Drops etherforce and random soul gem boxes that contain level 1 to 5 gems.
Purchasable from Rubal
