Method of Data Collection

Turning Rate

Required:
-Stopwatch
-Capture the Booty Mode (Booty Marker is visible through ship)

I start at speed with the mast and the booty marker aligned and then as I start the stopwatch I hold d until the ship turns full 360* and stop the stopwatch when the mast and the booty marker align again.

I do this 5 times and then average them. Then I round the average to the tenths place. I do that for each speed level on each ship.

Ship speed

Required:
-Timer
-Siege Mode (Navy Tower Marker shows range)

I start at 0 speed pointed towards the tower. I press q to get the initial distance to the marker. I then start a timer set for 40 seconds, simultaneously, I press the button to start the ship moving. At the end of the 40 seconds I’m spamming q to get real time distance to the marker and get the final distance after 40 seconds. Final distance – initial distance divided by 40 seconds gives me the speed in m/s.

I do this 3 times and then average them. Then I round the average to the tenths place. I do that for each speed level on each ship.

Potential problem: When I press the button for the ship to start moving it is not immediately at speed. This problem becomes less apparent as time increases. As you increase time it becomes more accurate but at a certain point the gain in accuracy is not worth the amount of time. I decided that 40 seconds was accurate enough because as I increased time from 40 to 50 seconds the difference between them was below .1 which doesn’t matter because I was going to round them to whole numbers anyway.

That’s all we are sharing today in Blackwake Ship Speed and Turning Rates List, if there are anything you want to add please feel free to leave a comment below and we’ll see you soon.
