A guide on how to recruit one of the best characters in the game that many people miss.
Step 1
To start things off simply avoid Amundsen and make a beeline to the village in the North to recruit Dune, Jean, Ash and Alysia.
Step 2
Next have Dune kill the brigand named Hooke who stands ontop of the cliff.Step 3
Next have Dune trade the Sack of Coin he obtained from Hooke to Zade.(this is the most important part)Step 4
Finally have Zade engage in a round of combat. Both Zade and Amundsen must survive this. Afterwards some dialogue will play and Amundsen will exit the battlefield.
From Chapter 2 onwards Amundsen will be now available for deployment.Related Posts:

Supposedly you also need to give Zane the bag of coins you got last map as well.
This is fake. There’s no way to recruit him. The second image is doctored. Look at the “s” and compare the font.
