Sometimes you just want to skip the grind and see what the game has to offer, and that’s exactly what this save file is for. I’m sharing a ready-made unlock here that fills in a big chunk of the garage and map so you can jump straight into the good stuff.
What This Save Actually Unlocks
Before you commit to swapping anything, here’s the honest inventory of what you get. The save covers all vehicles, every functional mod already purchased, and all paintjobs. The map is fully revealed for the first two Canada locations.
Now the caveats, because this is where people get confused. The third Canada map stays locked, as does the second Algeria map. The first Algeria map is only partially revealed. Cosmetic accessories are, for the most part, still locked out. So if your whole goal is unlocking cosmetics, this isn’t the save for that — but if you’re chasing the all vehicles guide grind without repeating it yourself, this gets you there in one move.
Installing the Save File
First and most important: if you’ve got Steam Cloud backups enabled for Over The Hill, switch them off before you touch anything. Cloud sync will happily overwrite the new file with your old one and undo the whole process.
Next, navigate to C:\Users\[username]\OneDrive\Documents\My Games\over the hill\Saves. If OneDrive isn’t set up on your machine, just open a drive location, find the “Documents” folder, and drill down to the same path from there.
Inside that folder you’ll see Player1.json. Copy it and paste it somewhere safe outside the folder — that’s your savegame backup, and you’ll want it if anything goes sideways.
Now take the .rar file from the download link below and unpack it directly into your save file directory, replacing the original file when prompted. The author had to split the archive into several parts because of how Steam handles uploads, so make sure you’ve grabbed every piece before extracting.
Once the file is in place, launch the game and confirm everything activated. If the vehicles or map don’t appear as expected, that’s the usual sign the cloud had already grabbed hold — go back and double-check that Cloud is off.

Worth noting while you play around with the unlocked set: the fully revealed maps make hunting down collectible and location-based goals far less painful, so this is also a decent starting point if you’re working toward a Law of the Land achievement guide run and don’t feel like re-exploring every corner from scratch.
