Minecraft Legends How to Play on Steam Deck (Patch)

For Minecraft Legends players who want to play it on Steam Deck, this guide will show you a method to actually play it on steam deck

Download the new patched proton.

This next part we will need to do in desktop mode. To enter desktop mode press “steam” then press “power” and then the “Switch to desktop” option.

Next download the zip from the link here [jame.xyz]

Then extract it into this “/home/deck/.local/share/Steam/compatibilitytools.d/” file path. If you cant see the .local file make sure to right click in the explorer and show hidden files.

Now restart steam, and go to minecraft legends library page. Click the settings button and go into properties and select compatibility. Enable it and select the one with the name of the folder you just extracted.

Now it should work.

Extra info

If you cant find the “compatibilitytools.d” folder please try to download ProtonUp-Qt and add a proton version from there this should make the “compatibilitytools.d” folder show up if it isn’t there.

To login to your microsoft account you might need to open the game and login to it from the desktop mode.
