Buitopia DVD: All Endings Guide

Posted on October 20, 2026

I went into Buitopia DVD knowing nothing, and honestly, that was the right call. If you haven’t finished it yet, put this page down and go play it blind first — the whole thing lands so much harder when you don’t see it coming. I’m writing this for the people who are genuinely stuck or just want a refresher on how to reach one specific ending, so I’ve kept things as spoiler-light as I could manage. Everything below is what I know about each ending and the path that gets you there.

Eavesdrop Ending (Diary Pages)

This one is almost embarrassingly simple once you know it exists. Sit down on that bench and get comfortable, because you’re going to be there a while. Decline the tour of Wiggul Island when it’s offered, and then just stay put until the sholp closes. When it does, you’ll take a walk through the forest and stumble onto some diary pages. Read them, and that’s the ending.

Incomplete Ending

Same bench, different choice. Sit down and you might get offered something, but don’t let yourself get sidetracked. This time accept the tour of Wiggul Island and get on the train — it’ll carry you over there. Once you arrive, look around and put on the glasses. Wearing them reveals a house to you; step inside and the ending triggers.

Apology Ending

Here you’re going to push your imagination further than you probably should. Accept the tour of Wiggul Island, but don’t board the train. Instead, imagine a spinning head over and over until he blows up in anger and sends you somewhere else entirely. When you’re told to apologize, walk outside and actually go through with it.

Apocalypse Ending

Same setup, crueler punchline. Repeat the apology ending step for step, but the moment you’re asked to apologize, trick the head and spin him again instead of saying sorry.

Confusion Ending (Mushroom)

Mushrooms tend to grow on things that have rotted, and this ending leans hard into that. Sit on the bench, and when the Wiggul offers you the island tour, eat them instead of accepting. Keep sitting on that bench until mushrooms sprout from the rotting remains, then examine and eat them to finish.

Ignored Warning Ending

Head to the sholp and don’t buy a thing — you’re looking for another way out here. Signs won’t help you on this route. Get to the dark room; whether you watch the videos or not is up to you. When you’re done, turn around and you’ll find yourself trapped. Run until you feel a breeze, then jump up to reach the snowy mountains. Ignore every sign and enter the cave. Play with the virtual wiggul and make it sing despite the warning — that’s the whole ending.

Horrible Ending

Again, go to the sholp, buy nothing, and find that alternate exit. This time the signs are your friends, though something nasty is waiting at the end of the trail. Follow the same steps as the Ignored Warning ending, but follow the sign rather than diving into the cave. When you hit the crossroads, take the path marked “horrible.”

Numb Ending

Nearly identical to the Horrible ending, so this one’s easy once you’ve done that. Go to the sholp, buy nothing, find another way out, and let the signs guide you. At the crossroads, pick the “numb” path instead of the horrible one. The cold, as the name suggests, does the rest.

Menu World Ending

This route starts with a gift. Buy something from the sholp and step into the realistic-looking world, then get into the machine and zap the correct faces. You can piece the answer together from clues scattered throughout the game, but if you’re impatient like I was: green first, then blue. Once a path opens, continue past the machine and climb down the ladder. Don’t imagine anything — just keep descending. Wake the menu man to enter Menu World, then work your way through each menu to reach the ending.

These are puzzles, so a little creativity goes a long way, but I’ll spell out the solutions for anyone who’s truly stuck. On the “Door to Jess” menu, knock on the door repeatedly until she swaps one of your options for “Wiggul Cops.” Inside the Wiggul Cops menu, read the small text at the top of the screen — it tells you the button order to continue: set-up, play, scenes, then bonus. In the Broken Jess menu, hammer “leave menu” over and over. For Silly Wine Bottles 3, choose “wine is incorrect,” then select the “3” from the title. Next, pick Jess’s correct dress color — ember — and hand her the birthday hat. After all that, you can scroll to slide 2 of the videos. Reach the end and watch the final video to get the ending.

Complete Ending

Buy a gift for Jess again, but this time let your mind wander on that ladder. You’ve probably seen a password somewhere earlier in the game. Follow the same steps as the Menu World ending until you reach the ladder, then start imagining things — letters specifically — and key in that password. If you really want the answer: BOOLAL. Imagine a door and walk through it, then enter the house and give Jess her gift.

Fake Ending 1

You’ve found Jess, but maybe she won’t care for your gift — and for this one you genuinely have to be unlucky. Follow the Complete ending steps up to the house, but instead of going inside, turn to the carnival game and spin the wheel. You actually need to lose here, because losing sends you to DVD purgatory. Once there, insert the disc back into the DVD player and play it. Interact with any available TV to enter the main menu, then keep picking options until the text starts talking about escaping. Choose “escape,” and you’ll be offered a choice to leave purgatory or stay. Pick leave to grab this ending.

Fake Ending 2

Same unlucky setup, and you’ll need to be a little dumb for this one too. Follow the Fake Ending 1 path, but when the choice comes up, stay in purgatory instead of leaving. That kicks off the Quiz, and to land this ending you have to get a question wrong. It’s only a slight variation on Fake Ending 1, so don’t expect a huge detour.

Quiz Master Ending

Last one on the list, and it demands the opposite of Fake Ending 2 — you have to be very smart. Walk the exact same path as Fake Ending 2, staying in purgatory to start the Quiz, but answer all 20 questions correctly. I can’t help you with the answers on this one, sorry. You’re on your own.

That’s everything I’ve got. Some of these hints are vaguer than I’d like, and honestly coming up with them was tougher than I expected — this is the first guide I’ve ever written, so apologies if it shows. Still, I hope it gets you unstuck and back to enjoying the game.
