WORLD OF HORROR – How to Make Custom Color Palettes

• Basic knowledge of computers.

  If you have KNW 6 or more, that’s enough to handle this.

• Any image editing software.

  Photoshop, GIMP, Aseprite, …or…maybe, MS Paint works fine…?

• UndertaleModTool

  Github[github.com]/Releases[github.com]
  I’m using Bleeding Edge, so I recommend that one.
  But I think stable works fine.

Open the data.win in the install directory.
That can be found at Steam Library->WORLD OF HORROR->Cog icon->Manage->Browse local files

Congratulations! You got the WARNING!
Don’t worry, you don’t need to do something with codes.
So, You can ignore that. It’s completely harmless.

You need to find textures for color palettes.
Type “pal” to search box, Open “Sprites” tree, Double click “pal_sprite_1bit” or “pal_sprite_2bit”.
Now, you can see detailed info of sprites, in the right side of screen.
Find the “Textures” and double click “PageItem~ blah blah” thing. (Not the “Double click to add”)

Now, you can see info for textures. (Not sprites)
You can find “Export” and “Import” button.
Press “Export”, name something to image, then save it somewhere.
Edit the image with editing software, press “Import” and select that image.

File->Save to save.
If you didn’t change the name, It will overwrite original files.
So, be careful and don’t forget to backup.

If you open the image, You can see this tiny things.
This will define color palettes ,so replace it with your favorite colors.
But, DO NOT TOUCH THE LEFTMOST COLUMN.
That’s for identifying what colors will be replaced. (probably, idk)
If you do something to that one, All color palettes will be messed up.

If you struggling with identifying the color palettes, there is a useful guide already exists.
It has a numbers assigned, so you can easily find the color palette you want.
