If you can’t switch to DX11 using launch options anymore, I found a way that will probably work, by “literally removing D3D12 support” 🤣
Introduction
I don’t know if everyone has this problem, some people say that switching it in the launch options still works for them, but for many people including me it doesn’t work anymore, maybe they forced it to D3D12, idk.
How?
1. Go into Windows\System32, look for D3D12.dll file and move it out of System32 folder.
2. If you can’t do it, then go into its Properties > Security > Advanced, and if its owner is set to TrustedInstaller, change it to Administrators.
3. Now you will be able to change permissions in Security tab, click Edit, select Administrators group and give it Full Control.
4. After doing that you should be able to just move this file out of System32.
5. Launch the game after moving the file out.
To revert it, just move the file back into System32. If you really want to revert the security changes then just change it back and change the file owner to “NT SERVICE\TrustedInstaller”.
