Sniper Elite V2 Remastered: Mission 4 Walkthrough

Having pitted the Germans against the invading Soviet forces near Museum Island, you head to Opernplatz where Schwaiger is being held. Despite orders to kill him, your intel has suggested there is more to target than initially suggested. The assassination protocol is now a rescue mission.

Achievement: ‘Deadeye’ (Snipe an enemy through the eye)

Your first objective is to make your way to Opernplatz. This is pretty straight forward and you meet little resistance at this stage. Once there you will need to secure the Plaza. This is no easy task as it is heavily populated with enemy infantry and snipers.

Tip: Scour the rooftops and windows for enemy snipers. They can be particularly well concealed and can cause unwanted headaches (pun intended).

Systematically make your way around the Plaza, taking out any resistance you might find. Make sure to check inside of buildings for enemies and the next objective requires the Plaza to be clear.

Once cleared you will need to find the vantage point situated on the top floor of one of the buildings surrounding the Plaza. From here you with see Schwaiger on the verge of execution. Make sure to swiftly take out the German officer before he shoots Schwaiger.

At this point your objective is to keep Schwaiger alive as he makes his way through the Plaza. You will need to carefully overwatch him as he is attacked on multiple fronts. If Schwaiger perishes you will fail the mission so it is imperative to take out enemies rapidly.

Tip: Make sure to keep moving along your vantage point so as not to lose Schwaiger’s position and the location of incoming enemies.

Once Schwaiger is safe you will need to hold your position within the building whilst under intense heavy Soviet fire power. Make sure to conceal your location as much as possible as it is at this stage that you are under the heaviest of assault from the enemy.

If you have survived by this stage you will see the unfortunately demise of Schwaiger. This concludes the mission.
