For Little Nightmares II players, this guide is about all achiements & collectibles and some tips for the difficult parts of the game, let’s check it out.
How to use the guide
If you need a particular achievement, just Ctrl + F it. I kept all the titles the same so it would be easy for you to find them. The same goes for the hats (I added hat’s images on the right so it would be easier to track them) and for Glitching Remains (I’ll add corresponding numbers on the right later for your convenience, right now you can also Ctrl + F it). Please, if you’ve experienced lots of difficulties with certain parts (even just story-wise), comment down below, so I could add tips for the most difficult parts as well.
The First Chapter
Equip the hunters hat and wear it for the duration of the part of the level where you run and hide from the hunter (I equipped it for the whole level but I think it still works if you keep the hat from the moment that you find it)
The first Glitching Remains [1] is right after the broken bridge (where you have to climb down using the rope). Instead of going up, go to the right and you’ll see a little tunnel that leads to the first shadow person.
The tunnel:
Evasive Prey achievement
You need to pass the bear-trap section without dying. The section starts right here:
After sliding down the log on the previous image turn back and go under it to get the next Glitching Remains [2].
Upon reaching the hunter’s cabin without dying on the traps, you’ll get the Evasive Prey achievement (if you died there, please comment where you died so I could add some tips for the most difficult parts of the bear-trap section). After you got the achievement, you can go back and step on the trap to see what would happen, if you want to.
When you reach the hunters cabin go towards the fridge and open it to get What’s in the box achievement
After you go in the hallway, go towards the camera and to the left to get the Hat [1]
(The Hat is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Equip the hat and don’t take it off until the end of the level to get the achievement Fair Play!
Continue on with the main story until you exit the hunter’s cabin. The next Glitching Remains [3] is in the outhouse right outside hunter’s cabin. To open the door walk towards it until Six gets into position for boosting you up, then you can open the door.
Continue on and the next hat will be right after this bridge:
It’s in the cage up top:
(The Hat is in the cage on the top, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Climb up there and jump on the cage several times to break the rope and get the Hat [2].
Continue on and after you cross the water, you’ll find the last very obvious Glitch Remains [4] in front of the TV:
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Upon finding all the Glitching Remains in the first chapter, you’ll get the Wild Kids achievement
After you end the chapter, you’ll get the Foraged achievement
Also, right from here you can get the Twenty-Six achievement by calling Six twenty-six times (or you can get it later on as well)
And In The Palm Of My Hand achievement by holding Six by her hand for approximately 6 minutes without letting go.
The Second Chapter
At the start of the chapter you’ll throw down two TVs. When you’ll throw down the second one so Six would be able to go up, get to the floor above you (where Six ended up), there will be the first for the chapter Glitching Remains [5]
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
When you reach the school grounds, you’ll find the second Glitching Remains [6] in the background sitting near the dempster (you can see them only when you approach them):
The Hat [3] will be lying on the dumpster right in front of the stairs :
Pick it up and equip it. While this hat equiped, run through the football gates to earn the Referee achievement.
Go inside the school. You’ll end up in the hallway. Run in the room in the back of the corridor and pick up the paper plane:
You’ll need to take it all the way back to the window you came from and throw it in the window to get the Fly Free achievement
After you get separated from Six, go forward until you see the elevator. In one of the lockers to the left of it hiding Glitching Remains [7]. You’ll need to open the locker to get it.
When you reach the classroom, you’ll have to sneak past the teacher. But in order to get the next achievement, you’ll have to get noticed, get in the room to the right, start climbing the shelf and make it fall on 3 kids to get the Bully of Bullies achievement.
If you are having troubles getting it, the easiest way is to sneak all the way to the room with the bookshelf. Wait until the teacher stops writing, get back in the classroom and immediately back in the bookshelf room (you’ll get noticed but will have an ahead start to start climbing). Start climbing all the way and don’t jump off (even if you die with them, you’ll get the achievement). This way they will all be grouped up under the bookshelf.
The get the next Merciful Feat achievement you’ll need to spare the life of the kid on a rope in the room with lots of scribbles everywhere.
The easiest way to do it it’s to get kid’s attention, run to the left, stand as close to him as possible then when he gets knocked down run to the right, grab the pipe and get it all the way to the door (you’ll have just enough time if you do it like that). On the screenshot you’ll see the “safe” location I started running from, if you stand there, the kid will not get you:
After you’ve spared the kid, you’ll get the achievement when you go into the next room. If you want to, you can go back and kill the kid now.
BONUS – FIGHTING TIP: If you are playing using your keyboard, fighting is actually much more simple. So is you are experiencing troubles with the fighting parts, here’s what you have to do: look in general direction of an approaching enemy (left/top/right/bottom), and stand, wait for them to come to you (they always try to approach from general directions), when they screech (like they do before they jump), immediately hit them, they will be just close enough to land a hit. Even if they are slightly off of the general direction, the character will auto correct their aim and hit them.
After that you’ll get to the library. In the library you’ll have to move the ladder to get to the right. Instead of moving it all the way, move it till the middle shelf, climb it and get Hat [4].
(The hat is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
When you get to the big stairs and the chess puzzle, run to the left of the upper part of the stairs to get the Glitching Remains [8] sitting on the noose:
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Proceed with the story until you’ll see the tray that you’ll have to move to get to the cafeteria. After moving it aside, the door to the left will be openable. Open it to find the Glitching Remains [9] inside:
Proceed until you get to the part with the piano. Jump on it and run around until the Mono Song achievement pops up (approximately 6 times from one side to another):
After you exit the school, and after the long plank and even after the dumpster which you’ll have to close, you’ll see a very obvious Glitching Remains [10] in the background near the paper boat (IT reference??):
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Collecting all the Glitching Remains in the chapter will grant you School Kids achievement.
Then at the end of the chapter you’ll get two story achievements (unmissabel):
True Colours
Schooled
The Third Chapter
Proceed into the level until you’ll get the flashlight. Right after you got it, instead of going to the right in the dark room with lots of beds, go in the background of the room to get the Glitching Remains [11]
Go forward until you reach the vending machine, pull the lever several times to get all the soda cans from the machine (5 cans) to get the Hunger achievement
Proceed until you’ll end up in the X-Ray room.
To get the X-Best Friends achievement you have to X-Ray yourself holding hands with Six.
Go in the room on the right. On top of the shelf in the right corner of the room will be the Hat [5].
In order to get the Toys Are For Kids achievement, equip the bear hat that you just got, take the teddy bear in the middle of the room (on the table) to the incinerator and burn it. You have to wear the bear hat! You’ll get the achievement almost immediately (I got it when I got back in the elevator)
When you open the door upstairs (to the right) above the X-Ray room and reach the half-broken door (if you are following the main story then you’ll have to go towards the screen there to get in the room on the right). Instead of doing that, go towards the background to find Glitching Remains [12].
BONUS – FIGHTING TIP:
The next enemy is pretty tough to beat especially a bit later in the game. What you have to do to make it easier is you have to stay a bit away from the handle of the weapon to trigger the attack of the enemy and making it miss you just a bit. While the hand is recovering, you have to grab the weapon (the handle was conveniently close to us, right?) and hit it. The point is that you don’t have to go around or move with the weapon. Triggering the attack by standing in close proximity to the HANDLE of the weapon will allow you to hit the hand immediately without moving as it recovers pretty fast.
To get the …And Stay Dead! achievement hit the hand a couple more times after it has already been defeated (2-3 times).
Proceed forward with the story. At some point, you’ll drop down from the vent on the bed and will notice a cheese with an eye icon above.
Grab it and take it with you. In the corridor to the left of the room where you’ve grabbed the cheese go away from the camera behind the opened door of the room you just exited.
There in the darkness you can go in the room to the left to find Glitching Remains [13] sitting on the edge of the pit. To get the Objection achievement, throw the cheese that you’ve brought into the pit.
Proceed with the story until you get in the showers with bars of soap on the ground. In the corner of the room, you’ll see a box that you can move. Behind this box hiding Glitching Remains [14].
(The Glitching Remains is where the character stands, I’ve already gotten it so it’s not on the screen but I’ll soon replace the image, sry about that for now).
Along with the Glitching Remains [14], you’ll get the Sick Kids achievement.
When you got the fuse before exiting the corridor notice corn near the wheelchair (it’s right after the gates that you’ve previously opened using the other fuse).
Grab it and take it all the way down to the incinerator (where you burnt the toys), burn it, and then get inside the incinerator to see the popcorn and get the Popcorn achievement.
Proceed with the story. At some point, you’ll end up in the room from which you get a fuse. There will be mannequin hands reaching from you from the left door. Take the ball that’s lying in the same room and throw it at mannequin hands to get the Medicine ball achievement.
Proceed with the story until you find the next locked door. The key to this door is lying in the morgue where hiding the Hat [6].
To get the hat go to the back of the room to the left of the table in the middle and open the closest to the table cabinet. Inside it, you’ll find the hat.
After running away from a terrifying ceiling-crawling monster, you’ll lure him into the incinerator. To get the First do no Harm achievement, you’ll have to leave him as is. Do NOT burn him. You’ll get the achievement after getting inside the elevator.
At the end of the chapter, you’ll get the Hospitalised achievement.
The Fourth Chapter
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
When you reach the first elevator part and you’ll be on top of the elevator, there will be a box to your left. Move the box aside and crawl through the vent to reach Glitching Remains [16].
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Proceed with the story until you’ll be on top of the roof. At some point you’ll see the wooden climbable wall. Instead of going up, go in the window behind it to find Glitching Remains [17].
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Proceed with the story until you’ll be inside the letter room. Near the TV on the lower floor where you’ll have to move a cart, go left through the vent. In the next room go left through the vent once more to get a Hat [7].
(The hat is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
Soon after you’ll reach a slide that looks like this:
After using the slide, go back through the window, then in the background and in the other open window to get the Glitching Remains [18]. Don’t leave the room just yet.
(The glitching remains is where the character is standing, I already got it so it’s not on the screenshot but I’ll replace the screenshot later, sry about that)
In the same room where the last Glitching Remains were, you can find a doll. Pick it up and break it to get the Unladylike achievement.
Now you should have already gotten the Pale Kids achievement as you’ve collected all 18 Glitching Remains.
Along with the No More Remains achievement (congratulations, you are done with the Glitching Remains collectibles).
Proceed with the story until you get to the second elevator. EQUIP THE POSTMAN HAT that you’ve found before and go down the vent. There you’ll find a locked suitcase, open it to find a mail. Pick the mail up and bring it to the left side of the screen, past the elevator, to give the post and get the Post Industrial achievement.
Proceed with the story until you’ll end up in the room where you’ll have to move a shopping cart. Move it to the shelf on the left before the slide (DON’T slide the cart down yet). Get up on the shelf and you’ll find the Hat [8] in the dark left corner.
Congratulations, you’ve found all the hats, the last hat you’ll get after finishing the story.
Now you can finish the chapter 4 and get the last Paled achievement.
To get the How Do I Look Like? achievement simply equip the hat that you’ve got for finishing the game.
Well, now I can congratulate you for getting the last Primetime Content Consumer achievement for getting all the other achievements! Congratulations! (Or I could congratulate you if I’d finish the chapter 4 ahah tomorrow I will)
Tomorrow I’ll add puzzle solutions for those who’s struggling with some parts of the chapter
