Basic workbench, smelter, and anvil crafting recipes and how to make steel in Industriworks.

Basic workbench recipes

You can craft items from your inventory (open with TAB) or in a workbench.
Let’s make a workbench.
First, you need to craft planks from wood. Put wood into left box, click the arrow and wait.

You can craft either oak or birch or pine or spruce planks.
Now you can craft a workbench:

You can use planks as building material:

You will need sticks to craft tools:

Let’s open a workbench (press E) and make some wooden tools:

You will need an axe. The simplest form of this tool is stone axe:

You can use cabblegabbro, cabblegranite, and cabblequartzite to make stone axe and smelter. Smelter is made from stone and clay that you can find on lakes:

You will need some containers to store items. Chests:

Buckets is used to move fluids:

Smelter recipes

You can use smelter to make charcoal (500 K):

Glass (800 K):

Bricks (900 K):

You will need metals. Metals are made from ores on crucible. First, make a raw crucible:

And smelt it on 1400 K:

You can open crucible and put ores into in. Cassiterite, limonite, magnetite, and malachite:

Let’s smelt cassiterite:

Bronze bar is made from 3 copper nuggets and 1 tin nugget:

Bars can be splitted into nuggets:

And nuggets can be melted into bars:

You will need an anvil. You can smelt limonite that can be found on lakes and make anvil:

Anvil recipes

You need an hammer to craft things on anvil:

Hammer can be made only from pig iron or steel.
With anvil you can make pickaxe, shovel and axe parts:

then make corresponding tools:

You can also make shears. Shears is used to gather leaves and flowers:

Shears can be made only from steel or bronze.

You can make saw that is used to mine raw stone:

Saw can be made only from steel.

Making steel

To make steel you need to build special smelter from fireclay.
Ceramic powder:

Firebricks:

You also need flint and flint that is used to make fire:

Coal heaps are fuel for this furnace. It can be made from charcoal and coal:

You will need to build this 3x4x3 construction:
3×3 blocks of firebricks.

Same but center is coal heap.

A hole for steel.

A hole for pig iron:

Set the fire to the coal heap:

Drop some pig iron bars into fire and collect molten steel with crucible:

Consider that molten steel is liquid. You can clear it with crucible too:
