DELTARUNE: How to Find the 5 Foxes (Chapter 5)

This is the exact route for every hidden fox in Chapter 5—first chase to the void trick. Miss one, and the secret door stays locked. No Pink Coin, no MysteryKey. Here’s the room-by-room breakdown.

Overview

Collect all 5 foxes to unlock a secret door for a Pink Coin. That coin buys the MysteryKey, which can completely change your run. The foxes aren’t random—each is tied to a specific action in a specific room. Mild-to-medium spoilers ahead.

Fox #1

Enter the first room. Spot a small fox darting across the floor? Chase it. The fox will evade, and a Terakota enemy might spawn during the chase—don’t stop. Corner it and interact. Done. Move to room two.

Fox #2

In the second room, there’s a covered area with fox-shaped silhouettes. Stand on the center pressure button. This triggers bouncing rocks across the floor. Tap each rock until you find the one containing the fox. Also, this area can spawn Toby (or the annoying dog) and Seth—explore fully if you want the extras.

Fox #3

Leave the main puzzle room and head into the corridor with paw prints on the ground. Follow the pattern. At the end, you’ll find flower dollars. Keep following the prints until the fourth paw, which sits on a wavy section of floor. That paw is the fox. Interact.

Fox #4

Return to the first room. Go to the top and find the Terakota against the wall. Push it aside to reveal a hidden door. Inside, Yellow is putting on a sock. After a brief animation, Yellow poofs into a sock-wearing fox—a direct Chapter 3 callback. Interact with it.

Fox #5

Back in the first room. Focus on the right bottom row of Terakotas. Count from the left: the third Terakota is your target. Throw it into the void (room edge). After it disappears, the final fox appears. Interact to complete the collection.

The Door & Reward

With all 5 foxes, the secret door in the first room unlocks. Enter. Inside is another fox. Interact for a Pink Coin. Use it to buy the MysteryKey from the vendor. That key can open locked chests or trigger special events later. Use it wisely.
