Biggest Bang: Land the final hit on the Joker on the hardest difficulty setting from the start.
If you have played this game a lot, this won’t be too hard. The lack of counter prompts takes some getting used to, but if you know the game it isn’t too hard. The worst parts are; the titan fight in the caves during the water purification mission, and poison ivy’s fight. This is mostly due to how little breathing room you have in these fights. Play it safe, don’t take risks and keep trying. If you know how the mechanics of the game’s combat works, you can do it.

Combat Achievements
Freeflow combo 5: Well, maybe not this one, this should come with ease.
Freeflow combo 10:….same here again.
Freeflow combo 20: Once you get the hang of how combat works, you should get this without trying
Freeflow combo 40: I got this at the beginning of the Arkham mansion section, since there are no knife guards or stun batons at this point, but this is doable in the harder challenge maps. Learn how combat works, don’t be cocky and you’ll get this one.
Freeflow Perfection: This requires you to use every possible move in Batman’s move set in one combo string. You think this is hard? Try it in any of the subsequent games in the franchise. Believe it or not, I got this by accident when going for the triple medals in the later combat maps. There are plenty of video guides to achieve this, but it isn’t too hard when you know the combat well. Good luck.
Freakshow Rodeo: When fighting a titan guard, they will occasionally charge at you. As they start up, quickfire a battering at them and they will slam into the wall and be stunned (be careful as they can still hit you in this phase). Strike them enough times and Batman will mount them. Lead them into henchmen and this will trigger the achievement.
Freeflow Bronze: See freeflow gold
Freeflow Silver: See freeflow gold
Freeflow Gold: These are the combat challenge maps. The worst part is you have to get the specific Riddler challenge trophies to unlock all the maps. If you are going for all the trophies then this isn’t a problem, but look up a specific guide if you want just the combat maps. You need high variation bonuses, no damage at all and consistent combo strings to get the points needed for max medals in later maps. Many of the harder maps will require multiple runs to get a sense of how enemies act. Make sure you use your quickfire gadgets, but don’t be cocky. Losing your combo is not worth the loss of points as apposed to a slight loss in variation.
After lots of practice, it isn’t too hard but will take some dedication to nail it.
Flawless Freeflow Fighter: In any of the combat challenge maps, complete it without taking any damage at all. Do the easiest one. Simple as that.
Invisible Predator: Complete any predator challenge using only silent take downs, and don’t be detected. In case it wasn’t obvious, do this on the easiest challenge map. This should be no issue at all.
Predator Bronze: See Gold
Predator Silver: See Gold
Predator Gold: The most fun parts of the game, the stealth combat. These challenges require you to defeat every henchman in the room whilst doing three pre-requisites. The hardest by far is the Medical Room on Extreme. Having three walls explode at once, taking down three henchman at once, can be tricky to set up. My advice is don’t get the upgrade which adds proximity detonation to explosive gel until after you achieve this map (the breathing room can help in map planning if you need it).
Mano-O-Mano: Considered by some as the hardest achievement in the game. The easiest place to do this is when you fight two titans in the gardens (On easy mode of course). You might think the single titan in the caves is easier, but the smaller space and the henchman spawning give you very little room to breathe.
When they charge at you, simply jump out of the way. Between charges strike them a few times then vault over them and repeat. Keep trying till you get a sense of the timing of this trick. Once you get the timing, it will work.
Just watch out for the other titan as well. Juggle the hand to hand punches between the two titans until you defeat one of them. If at any point you launch a batterang, that titan cannot be used for the achievement. Again, don’t get cocky, and play it safe. On easier difficulties, this is perfectly doable. Good luck.
Other Achievements
Night Glider: You must glide for over 100m. Once you get outside of the intensive treatment building, climb to the top of the mansion, by the clock tower. Glide outwards towards the gate leading to Arkham North. Keep a steady path, and it should work.
Catch!: Unlock the remote batarang in the upgrades menu. Throw one, and guide it back to Batman. He’ll do the rest
Arkham Analyst: See Crack the Enigma
Cryptic Investigator: Ditto
Lateral Thinker: Ditto
Mystery Solver: Ditto
Conundrum Cracker: Ditto
Mental Athlete: Ditto
Riddle Resolver: Ditto
Crack the Enigma: Early in the on the game, the Riddler will goad you into solving the many riddles he has spread over the island. Most are trophies to find, some are character references, some are perspective symbols you can see in detective mode, some are interview tapes (which are awesome by the way so give them a listen). There are far too many to detail here, so find a guide. None of the them are that cryptic. Once you find the maps for each section, it becomes pathetically easy, just takes a while. Later games, it becomes ridiculous, but here it really isn’t that bad.
World’s Greatest Detective: Throughout Arkham, are these round stones with a scarab in the centre. These provide backstory on the character of Amadeus Arkham. After you find the last one, you must find his successor. It’s pretty obvious, given it’s the same voice actor, but the character you are looking for is Quincy Sharp. He was where you left him in the Penitentiary, you will find him missing but he has left a message for you. Scan it, and the achievement is yours.
Perfect Knight: Complete a save file to 100%. You don’t need to beat a save file on the hardest difficulty. Just have a file where you beat the story, get all the Riddler puzzles, solve the Quincy Sharp puzzle, and beat all the challenge maps, to get the achievement.
