NOTES / OPINIONS
- Farming Money on ‘Extra’ stages 1-3 on Crabby 3 difficulty is the fastest means of leveling up crabs / ‘not-crabs’ (assuming one has a viable build + ally support). Provides highest amount of earnings, sourced from facing minimal opponents and stages. Also comes without risk of arena pitfalls or exceedingly quirky boss movements (esp. observed in [The Amazing Flying] Spider Crab).
- Single completion of ‘Extra’ stage 3 on difficulty setting Crabby 3 awards 104,198 Money, which alone is enough to raise a new character from Level 1 to Level 21 — and up to Level 99 if the stage (w/ difficulty setting) is cleared 38 times.
- Completion of all ‘Extra’ stages (1, 2, 3) on difficulty setting Crabby 3 awards a combined sum of 254,921 Money, which alone is enough to raise a new character from Level 1 to Level 32 — and up to Level 99 if the entire chapter (w/ difficulty setting) is cleared 16 times. I personally recommend leveling up this way as opposed to using Stage 3 exclusively for farming (reduces rate of burn-out / fatigue; at least maps cycle per stage completion).
Character builds utilized for Money farming may vary, although I personally have had great use of the following setup:
LevelWeapon (Right)Weapon (Left)99KatanaKatana
StrengthResistanceEnduranceDexterityAgility2450102440
Dual-katana scissor action easily melts opponent health, coupled with high speed and durability. Well-placed blows can deal 42 damage — sometimes more, if edges jostle against opponent. Mileage while under control of NPC varies. Feel free to implement for your own use.
Movement at first may be clumsy but can be managed with practice. Use of controller mandatory. Position arms outward to prevent slowdown, then swipe inward when within slashing distance of opponent. This can also be done while guarding.
With enough experience, the Mantis Shrimp build can render the ‘Extra’ stages a far simpler task to complete on Crabby 3 difficulty.
I advise against using this Mantis Shrimp equip build in Multiplayer, as the character is both far less agile and less resilient.
