How to improve F1 22 performance in VR mode
This post is for those who have performance problems in F1 22, i.e. the majority. In sequence. For starters, you download from the site:
https://github.com/fholger/openvr_fsr/releases/tag/fsr_v2.1.1?fbclid=IwAR3eL4iEUcV88KNzN5Ss4omAlT0Dlo9SFKFIZwqv0Ji2GS-MeOkLzmVLbLI
the latest version of openvr_fsr. Version 2.1.1 is already greatly improved and you can see it after the first launch.
But from the beginning. There are three files in the ZIP file.
openvr_mod.cfg
openvr_api.dll
README.md
You are interested in the first two files. You copy them to the game directory. I have D: \ SteamLibrary \ steamapps \ common \ F1 22 \
The openvr_api.dll file should already be in the main directory of the game – so make a copy of it and replace it with the one in Openvr_fsr. The second file, openvr_mod.cfg, is used to configure the mod. Using the notebook, you can change the values and adjust the mod to your requirements. I’m good at
“renderScale”: 0.77,
“sharpness”: 0.9,
“radius”: 0.5,
The game with the mod is much better, although it is still far from perfect. It still shakes in the box, but much less. During the race, however, it is great.
