For Chivalry 2 players, this guide will show you the best weapon of each type in game, let’s check it out.
Weapon Classes in Chivalry 2
-
One-handed
shows itself well in one-on-one battles due to speed. But it does relatively little damage per hit. It is also a good choice for a spare weapon.
-
Two-handed
is used against the crowd (swords and axes), or when playing from defense (hammers). All weapons of this class are heavy and not too fast. Therefore, in one-on-one combat, two-handed weapons strike only when the enemy has opened up. Also, heavy weapons are well suited for finishing off enemies who have already been wounded by allies.
-
Swords
faster than axes, and they, in turn, are faster than shaft weapons (various hammers and maces). But the faster the weapon, the less damage it does in one hit.
-
Bows
deal a lot of damage only to the head, and crossbows penetrate any armor well, but they take a long time to recharge.
The best weapon in Chivalry 2
Messer is the best two—handed sword in the game (although rather a combat knife). It has both a long-range attack radius, quick strikes and high damage even against heavy armor.
Hammer is a slow but incredibly powerful two-handed weapon. They can quickly penetrate the enemy’s shield, knock the weapon out of his hands, or even kill with a single blow if the enemy is already wounded (by you or allies) or is wearing light armor.
The halberd is the best weapon for fighting in the ranks. In addition, it is universal: it deals a lot of damage with a chopping blow from above, can stab and will help to fight back if you are surrounded.
The crossbow penetrates heavy armor well and helps to thin out the ranks of the enemy storming the walls, and also kills anyone with a single hit in the head. But remember that this is a weapon for ambushes and shooting from shelters. And in the open field, you can take a paveza with you and put it in front of you to recharge safely.
The best dueling weapon in the right hands due to its speed. While the enemy is trying to inflict as much damage as possible in one hit, you will have time to chop it from different sides.
