This is a minimalistic Guide on How to deal with Interruption-Issues when Downloading Baldur’s Gate 3
What to Do
1. Go to
..\Steam\steamapps\downloading\1086940\
or
SteamLibrary\steamapps\downloading\1086940\
if your Steam Library folder storage drive differs from your Steam Client’s location’s storage drive
2. Move the content to a temporary placeholder
For example: C:\Baldurs Gate 3
3. Uninstall the game via Steam Library entry
4. Move the “Baldurs Gate 3” from its placeholder location to
..\Steam\steamapps\common\
or
..\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\
depending on your selected destination for the game
5. Reinstall Baldur’s Gate 3 via the Steam Library entry
The game will recognise that content already exists in the designated installation folder, and it will verify the content and only download what is missing and skip everything which already fits the current download.
