Good morning, afternoon, evening… I know almost everyone knows how to customize your sprays, but some people doesn’t know so, in this guide, I will teach you how to customize the image you want to spray so you won’t be spraying that ugly black and purple image
First step
Actually, customizing your sprays is a piece of cake. Download an image, create it, get it from your computer, etc. Remember, this image must be in JPG /JPEG format (they’re both the same, one is used in MAC and the other is used in Windows). Don’t worry if it’s in PNG, you can turn it into JPG. Just open it in Paint, click in that blue box in the upper left corner, click on “save as…” and click on JPG.
Second step
Put your image in your desktop. This is really important. Then open Stean, NOT TF2, and go to library. Right-click TF2, go to properties, Local files and then See local files. Now you will see why I asked you to put the image in your deskstop, ’cause you now got to drag the image to the file that should have opened when you clicked on “see local files”. It is very important that you remember the image name. You can edit it yourself, too.
Last step
Now comes the easiest part! Open TF2, go to options, multiplayer and then click “Import spray”. If you’ve done it all right, you should see the name of the image I told you to remember it’s name or edit it. Click the image and you should see it in a very low quality. Don’t worry, it just looks like that because the “multiplayer” page is very small. If you spray it on the floor, wall or roof, the image will be normal. Remember to have binded a key for spraying. If you don’t have one, go to options and go down to Miscellaneous, then click the Spray option, click “Edit key” and type the key you want (It’s T by default). IMPORTANT THING: you must click the “apply” button after selecting the image and binding the Spray key
Ending
That’s everything! It wasn’t that hard, right? My last tip is that you shouldn’t spray anything offensive. I don’t know if it’s allowed in the Valve official servers, but the community server rules are really different depending on the server. Some of them allow these sprays but, in others, you may get banned. Thank you so much for reading this guide, I hope it was useful. Goodbye!
