For Starfield playersm this is a fast guide for how to launch StarField Script Extender (SFSE) via Steam.
Setup walk through
- Go to the game folder (Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\) and rename “Starfield.exe” to, for example, “StarfieldOG.exe”
- Rename “sfse_loader.exe” to “Starfield.exe”
- Go to “Data” folder and if you don’t have the SFSE folder, create one. (The file path should look like: Steam\steamapps\common\Starfield\Data\SFSE)
- Right click and edit the SFSE.ini (if there is no “SFSE.ini” inside the SFSE folder, create one)
- Paste the following into SFSE.ini:[Loader]
RuntimeName=StarfieldOG.exe - Save the SFSE.ini
- Steam will now launch Starfield via SFSE
