This guide will teach you on how to limit Sonic Generations to 30 fps without using any external applications (except the Nvidia control panel)
Step 1. The Nvidia Control Panel
on the bottom right of your screen, there should be the Nvidia icon. Right click that and click Nvidia Control Panel
Step 2: Adding Sonic Generations to the Nvidia Settings
When on the Nvidia Control Panel, you should click on the “manage 3d settings” prompt
Now click on program settings and add Sonic generations by clicking “add”
the program will crash for a little bit because it’s searching for applications but when you find Sonic Generations click “add selected program”
Step 3 Limiting the Fps to 30
Once Sonic Generations is added, scroll down to the bottom of the settings and you’ll find Vsync options. Set it to “Adaptive(Half Refresh Rate)”
ATTENTION. the will now run at half of your refresh rate so make sure you are running the game at 60 hz
