For Sole Saga players, this is a guide for most of the combinations/ Imbueds right now in-game. Basically a compact way of tell you what you might expect from each and every weapon, magic or secret type.
There are two types of totems: Money type and Kill type
Both give the same upgrades depending on what you have on you, mostly offering two combos if available or healing and full area one-time xp pick up if not, with an option to get a normal level up upgrade of a weapon on hand.
Imbued Weapons/ Secrets/ Magic list
As i have noticed, it is very hard to begin the game without any knowledge of what would you like to do (Not to mention each time you combine anything the price will double at first, then grow by a bit). So here is most of the combos for you to choose from:
- Imbued Simple sword
Better to sustain yourself than to let your regen do all the work, medium damage, pretty fast attack speed when maxed out.
- Imbued Sonic blade
A good choice of early starter combinations for defense, you can protect yourself from harm on each side, faster attack speed and attack amount can carry you for the first stages.
- Imbued Curve sword
Decent damage, hard to control, becomes stationary at the range limit for a second.
- Imbued RealEz’s Glove
Good burst damage, smaller cone of attack, upgrade only for the bosses or having already obtained a crowd control weapon.
- Imbued Xez Blaster
Decent crowd control, medium damage, very fast attack speed
- Imbued Thunder Zaps
The best weapon out there to support you every early game and end game magic runs, most kills get you energy for “powerful magic”, low damage, but useful for high accuracy when dealing with the cat, can get you up to three zaps maxed out increasing the speed at which you would recover.
- Imbued Reaper Scythe
Overall upgrade from the normal scythe, medium damage, low crowd control, short range, useful only when used with other magic to protect yourself for a short while.
- Imbued Chaos Cube
One of the worst at the beginning becomes the best defensive or offensive skill of your choice, best used for magic uses while standing still, found it very good at buffing up attack count and duration to constantly surround myself with the void. High damage, versatile, decent attack speed.
- Imbued Mythical red bone
Good crowd control, medium damage, high attack speed, short duration( if its not in contact with an enemy).
- Imbued Xez Twin
High damage, Medium attack speed, Very high range, decent duration. If Ring of Aerobics is upgraded Very high crowd control and Very high damage, Boss killer, best synergized with Norimitsu.
- Imbued Giga Drill
Decent at crowd control, without the higher number of attacks its practically just a boss killer. High damage, Medium attack speed, Short range, Medium duration, High Knockback (Can stunlock bosses or mobs).
- Imbued Norimitsu
Medium damage, Very fast speed (as fast as you can spam space lol), High range, Infinite duration (again depending on your spamming skills). Combined with Ring of Aerobics there won’t be a limit to how fast you can spam, so be prepared, upgrading the Mythical Spoon will give you an even bigger attack range, but be warned, the higher the range the bigger your dead zone next to character. Also spamming dodge basically makes you invulnerable to most attacks, except for some ranged attacks…
- Imbued Enilef’s Pow
Medium damage, Very fast/ Medium speed (Depending if you have the Ring of Aerobics), Medium range, Big area attack in your direction. Good for crowd control at late game, hardly usable at the very beginning.
- Imbued Boom Boom
Very good without the upgrade for early stages, might be useful if your back is always open to enemy attacks late game, High damage, Very fast/ Medium speed (Depending if you have the Ring of Aerobics), Very High range, Cone area attack from the back.
- Imbued Heavy Thorn
Medium damage, Very fast/ Medium speed (Depending if you have the Ring of Aerobics), High range, Cone area attack from the back, a bit better at crowd control than the Boom Boom, has to hit the first volley to be efficient.
- Imbued Enilef’s Pillar
Transforms early game effective crowd control magic into dps magic. High damage, Fast attack speed, Small range, Medium area attack from the front, good way to utilize it is to kite enemies into it 🙂
- Imbued Dakshinaavar
Medium damage, Slow attack speed, High range, Big area attack around you, gets healing properties like the Simple Sword (Useful against bosses when you are not as focused on mobs to heal with the sword, then again Simple Sword is my preferred one), best combined with another kind of magic that has faster cast rate (Like Chaos Axe).
- Imbued Mystical Hands
Rather underwhelming upgrade, it leaves very small fire particles that do weak damage (1-2), it can scale up higher, but at that point it will be useless, in my opinion. Base attack has Medium damage, Medium speed, Medium range, Cone area attack from the front and technically an in-built collecting system that basically is useless until you have bigger range and wider cone when upgraded. Only usable if too lazy to walk at end game.
- Imbued Chaos Axe
Axe goes to where you face to… or move. Well, magic becomes more of a offensive one, rather than defensive. It sustains the same area attack, but range is higher than before. Medium damage, Medium speed, High- Medium range, Medium area attack from the front, keeps following your front.
“Gangster” Drill Hero:
For how much it costs to unlock the hero, it’s a decent reward. Not too shabby, but the chance to get Bag of Blacksmith at the same run is low, getting twice or even more the upgrade unfathomable to bother and it is an upgrade that doesn’t scale either, all in all higher Heroic runs would be hard, but not impossible to accomplish.
