When asked about cause of death, answer Electrocution.
When asked about who caused the bad blood, Present Dahlia Hawthorne.

The Victim and I

1. Um, I… I admit I was there…
2. But I’m not a killer! All I did was find his body!
3. I hardly knew the guy to begin with…
4. I never even talked to that stuck-up British wannabe!

Press the 4th statement.
Present Crime Photo 1 at the added statement.

What Really Happened

1. The truth is… I went because he called me.
2. He was in the Pharmacology Dept., so we agreed to meet at 2:45 behind that building…
3. We talked for a bit, and then around 3:00 we split up.
4. Then later when I went back, I found him lying there.
5. I’d been taking Coldkiller X for the last 2 or 3 days…
6. But I lost my bottle of it around lunchtime on the day of the accident.

Press the 2nd Statement.
When given a chance to ask more, ask about Pharmacology Dept.
Press the 6th statement.
When allowed, choose establish murder method.
Present Crime Photo 1, select the severed wire cable just above the body, and Present it.

When I Pushed the Victim

1. That guy… He was talking bad about Dollie…
2. I lost my temper and gave him a shove!
3. At that moment, I heard some kind of loud noise…
4. A little while after I left, I started to get worried.
5. So I went back. But h-he was just laying there, d-dead!

Press on the 3rd statement.
Ask for more details, and when asked about the importance, say that Of course it’s important.
After the new statement is added, Present Crime Photo 1 against it.

What I Witnessed

1. I had been planning to go back to Feenie’s place after class was over.
2. Feenie and Dougie… They were talking behind the building.
3. Then suddenly… Dougie got all wobbly and just collapsed.
4. That’s when Feenie noticed that I was there.
5. I went to go and find some other students and they called the authorities.

Press on the 3rd Statement, and when given the option, choose Show Contradiction.
Dahlia will add two new statements. Present Phoenix’s Testimony on the latter, and then choose There was lightning when allowed.
When asked what made Doug touch the cable, Present Phoenix Wright’s Profile.

What I Witnessed, Part II

1. The truth is… Feenie pushed him twice.
2. The first time was into the electrical pole. That’s when the cable broke.
3. Then Dougie tried his best to run away from him…
4. But Feenie caught up and crashed into him from behind.
5. The cable snapping and Dougie being electrocuted… it all occurred in less than a minute.

Present either the Student’s Testimony or Crime Photo 1 on the 5th Statement.
When asked who killed Doug, Present Dahlia Hawthorne’s Profile.

How I Met My Feenie

1. I first met my darling Feenie eight months ago.
2. It’s like we were destined to meet in this very courthouse’s basement reading room.
3. The moment our eyes met, my heart skipped a beat!
4. We’ve been going out ever since that fateful day.

Press on statement 2 and choose Keep Pressing.
Dahlia will add a new statement, Present Police Report on this.

The Poisoning

1. I met the lawyer who was poisoned to discuss something in the cafeteria that day.
2. I left my seat for just a moment, and that’s when it happened!
3. From what I heard, it was a liquid poison that is lethal at just 2 teaspoons.
4. Not only that, I heard it was a very special kind of poison.
5. So you see, I’m innocent! I wouldn’t even know where to get a poison like that!

Present Doug Swallow’s Profile on statement 5, then when asked to present evidence oh how Dahlia managed to hide the murder weapon, Present Dahlia’s Present or Phoenix Wright’s Profile.

After Phoenix outbursts with an “Objection!”, you are asked to prove that Dahlia doesn’t love Phoenix, choose because of that necklace.

After Phoenix eats (yes, eats) the necklace, you will be asked who Dahlia’s target was. Present Phoenix Wright’s profile.

After this, when asked to provide evidence, Present Coldkiller X.

Clear Episode 2: The Stolen Turnabout

Get every ladder vs. stepladder conversation in the Trilogy.
At the Basement Warehouse, on the first day of investigation, examine the ladder (or step-ladder) in the back of the room.

Examine everything with even a whiff of Oldbag on it.
At DeMasque’s Hideout, examine the fish tank in the back of the room.
In the Security Room at KB Security, examine the seat on the right, the printed pink bag, and the command list right above it.

Mask DeMasque’s Crimes

1. Mask DeMasque is a master thief that first started his crime spree 6 months ago.
2. He’s so confident that he sends his calling card before he even commits the crime!
3. This was his fifth heist, and as usual, he sent a card on to Lordly Tailor.
4. His pattern is to always go after only the most precious art pieces.
5. That’s why we’re sure it was Mask DeMasque, sir. It fits his M. O. to a T!

Present the Sacred Urn on the 4th or 5th Statement.
When asked for proof, Present the Security Camera Photo.
Select around Mask DeMasque’s chest area by his collar and Present.

What I Witnessed

1. It was approximately 1 o’clock in the morning… just after the date changed.
2. That’s when my nemesis, the infamous Mask DeMasque, dancingly descended upon me
3. Just as I began to turn, the coward struck a fierce blow upon my noble head!
4. Darkness swallowed me before I could land a single strike. When I awoke, he was gone.
5. Thirty minutes later, I used an emergency phone to notify the police!

Present Mask DeMasque’s Broach on the 4th Statement. (You can also Press this statement for a cheeky reference to Case 1 from Justice For All.)

Fight With the Thief

1. Indeed, it’s true that I looked away from the door for a brief moment.
2. However… Luke Atmey cannot be so easily discombobulated!
3. Unfortunately, the thief grabbed a weapon from the side and… rendered me senseless.
4. A true gentleman fights only with his own fists… But they were not enough.
5. His first blow struck true! Bam!… And that’s all she wrote.

Press on the 5th Statement. Ask about the Atmey Fighting Style?.
When asked about its relevance, say that It was very important.

Atmey will amend his testimony and add:

• I put my back to the wall to fight, but the thief’s blow landed upon my third eye.

Present the Shichishito on this, then when asked, state that Mr. Atmey is Mask DeMasque.
After Godot’s objection, state that proof has yet to be found.
After the Sacred Urn is updated, choose to Show the fingerprints on the urn.
When asked who else to test for fingerprints, Present Phoenix Wright’s Profile.

Mask DeMasque’s Identity

1. The truth is, I’ve been Mask DeMasque all along!
2. I mean, you can’t prove that I’m not actually Mask DeMasque, can you?
3. I don’t have an alibi for the night the urn was stolen, after all!
4. I donned my costume that night and dancingly descended upon the scene of the crime!
5. Look! You can see right there in the photo! That’s me!
6. As for my broach, I snagged it on the door handle and it got torn off, that’s all!

Present Ron’s Wallet or the Key Card on either statement 2 or 3.
Now that you have the alibi, Present the Blackmail Letter to establish motive when asked.
When asked for a witness, Present Larry Butz’s Profile.

Pan right and Examine the pink splotch. Paint Marks will be added to the CR.
Pan left again and Present the Magatama to Andrews.

Talk to Andrews again.

This will end the day’s investigation, and will head directly into the trial.

My Visit to KB Security

1. That evening, around 1 AM, I went to see Mr. Bullard in his office at KB Security.
2. The blackmail letter I got… It ordered me to go there.
3. I’d been working for KB Security until a year ago, so I knew where his office was.

Press on the 2nd Statement, and when allowed choose Press Harder.
Ron will amend his testimony:

• The blackmail threat didn’t scare me. It wasn’t going to cause me trouble or anything.

Ignore this, Press on statement 3.
Ask Ron Why he was fired, he will add another statement:

• He fired me for selling company secrets… but Dessie doesn’t know about that.

Ignore this again and Present Desiree DeLite’s Profile on the first statement he added (“The blackmail threat didn’t scare me…”).

At the CEO’s Office

1. When I entered the office, there was a suspicious shadow there…
2. Suddenly, I was hit on the forehead. After that, I remember being a bit dazed.
3. If I hadn’t been wearing that, I would have been killed!
4. When I came to… Mr. Bullard was lying there… dead!

Press on the 3rd Statement. Ron will add:

• I’d have been killed if I hadn’t been wearing my Mask DeMasque costume!

Press on that statement, then Press Harder.
Ron will add again:

• I panicked and hid the body in the safe. It took about 10 minutes.

Present the Buzzer Record or the CEO Office Buzzer on that statement.
When given the choice, choose I can prove it alright and Present the CEO Office Buzzer.
Answer Godot’s question with To call the security guard.
Present Luke Atmey’s Profile when asked who the real killer is.

Part 4-2: Trial

The Alibi

1. I was stealing the urn as Mask DeMasque, just as I announced I would…
2. I had more than enough time to prepare. It was a pathetically easy job.
3. A photograph contains no words… But in this case, one turned out to be my witness.
4. The time at which the camera captured Mask DeMasque was the same time as the murder!

Press statements 2 and 4.
Press statement 3, then select You bet there is.
Examine the Crime Photo and present the pink splotch.
When asked about what was supposed to cover up the paint, Present Ami Fey’s Statue.
When asked who moved it, Present Luke Atmey’s Profile.
When asked what would expose his lie, Present the timestamp on the photo.

The Sacred Urn Heist

1. I first received the request from Lordly Tailor about 20 days ago.
2. The urn was placed in a box, and Zvarri! It was then sent to the warehouse.
3. Hence, I was actually unable to see the urn for myself until the day of the crime…
4. I knew it was an extremely valuable treasure, so I sent my card 10 days beforehand.
5. I then handled security by myself to ensure that my crime would go smoothly!
6. At last, I held the urn in my hands for the first time at 1 AM on October 12th.

Present DeMasque’s Calling Card on statement 2, 3, 4 or 6.

Motive for Murder

1. I, Luke Atmey, had no points of contact with the victim whatsoever.
2. Kane Bullard decided to investigate Mask DeMasque and simply mistook who he was!
3. It was Mr. Bullard who wrote the blackmail letter and sent it to Ron DeLite.
4. And it was again Mr. Bullard who harbored a grudge against Mr. DeLite for his betrayal!
5. Mr. Bullard’s mistake is quite excusable. The defendant truly believes he is Mask DeMasque.
6. That is why Mr. DeLite saw it fit to kill Kane Bullard. Truly a tragedy…

Present the Blackmail Letter at Statement 3.
When asked about the contradiction, Present the Newspaper Clipping.
When asked who the letter was intended for, Present Luke Atmey’s Profile.
When asked what the secret identity was, say that Atmey was a blackmailer.
Present the Newspaper Clipping when asked how Luke knew Ron was Mask.
Answer that you can’t prove it right now when asked for proof.

The Last Testimony

1. Indeed, it is true that I was not at Lordly Tailor.
2. I had to leave to see about another vitally important job request.
3. I had known about the date beforehand, so I had this photograph readied.
4. My brilliant deduction was what informed me that the true culprit was Ron DeLite.
5. And thanks to the Key Card and Wallet, it was abundantly clear that he was there.
6. I was also able to make a deduction from the buzzer, which only sounded once.
7. The button did not have any fingerprints on it… Why?
8. The victim would have left prints if he sounded it. Which means the killer sounded it.
9. Mr. DeLite was wearing his Mask DeMasque outfit, which is why he left no prints.
10. And, the blackmail letter? The victim likely just mistook the color of the jewel.
11. Zvarri! Therefore, all the evidence points to that poor boy!

Press on the 9th statement.
Luke will breakdown and admit to the crime.

After the trial, when asked to encourage Ron, Present the Sacred Urn.
