Do you want to support your team by building defenses but don’t want to spend any loadout points on a mallet, blacksmith’s hammer or heavy handaxe? Almost every frontline map has multiple mallets lying around, so if you know where to find them, you can! This guide will tell and show you where you can find these mallets, but also where to find the elusive carrot!
Introduction
If you cannot find a mallet in the locations I’ve shown here, another player will have already taken it. Unfortunately, these mallets don’t respawn (so be careful with them when you get one!), but most of these locations are unknown, so with a bit of luck you will be able to grab a mallet when it’s most needed.
This guide will go through the maps one by one. The first section will always be the point on the Free Guard’s (blue) side, the second will be the middle point and the third section will be the point on the Iron Company’s (red) side of the map. There isn’t a single map where either team has a mallet on their starting spawn, so those won’t be discussed.
Each section will contain a description and some pictures.
Let’s get this show on the road!
Camp
The Stables features 3 mallets, one on a tree stump next to an archery target, one on a barrel underneath a roof and one right in front of the stable.
The River features 4 mallets, 2 next to the toppled siege tower and 2 on the raised wooden area.
The Hunting Grounds also features 3 mallets. One can be found on the ground in between the piles of red wood, and 2 others can be found in front of a wooden hut.
Grad
The Smithy only has a single mallet, right next to the forge
The Stables features 2 mallets, on a table next to the damaged house.
Like it’s brother on the blue side, the Farm also only has one mallet, on the coach box.
Taiga
The Cave entrance has a generous 3 mallets, 1 next to the blue pile of wood, 1 next to the flagpole and 1 in front of archer cover.
The Camp also has 3 mallets, 2 on the ground close to the flagpole and 1 more on a raised wooden section.
The Camp Outskirts is the only point in the entire game (for now) that features less mallets than it’s blue counterpart. Seems like this map was rigged in favor of blue all along. There’s only a single one on the ground next to the red pile of wood
Mountain Peak
The Rafters features 3 mallets, 2 on the ground and one on the rock next to the brazier.
Just like the Rafters, the Valley has 3 mallets, 2 on the ground and one on top of the barrel in the cart.
Crossroads
Unfortunately, Crossroads does not feature any mallets to build defenses. To compensate for this oversight, Triternon has added a carrot, which can be found here. Try couching it while on a horse, succes guaranteed.
