Introduction
Creating your Character
Saving Your Game
You can instantly teleport back to the last Crstal Point you vistied by using the Home Spell.
Resting and Fatigue
Resting at Inns and using Stamina Potions will alleviate you of this debuff!
Leveling and Stats
There are four major stats to level in Dread Delusion:
- Might: Increases your maximum Health. Governs the combat skills of Attack and Defense.
- Guile: Increases your maximum Stamina. Governs the Lockpick and Agility skills.
- Wisdom: Increases your maximum Mana. Governs the Lore and Spellcast skills.
- Persona: Increases your Regen rate. Governs the Charm and Barter skills.
Leveling these major stats will raise certain sub-skills, increasing your effectiveness not only in combat, but exploration as well!
Equipment & Quick-Use Items
With weapons, spells, and quick-use items, you’ll be able to toggle through the ones you have equipped. (Q/D-Pad Down for Weapons, Z/D-Pad Right for Items, and CTRL/D-Pad Left for Spells by default)
Lockpicking, Charm, and Lore-Interactable Items
With a lockpick in hand, you can attempt to unlock the door! Your Guile major stat governs this particular active skill, so be sure to increase it if you want an easier time breaking into places (in-game, of course!). You can keep track of how many lockpicks you currently possess in the inventory menu)
You may also find someone who might need some convincing to get on your side, which will be denoted with a dialogue choice that has ‘Charm’ prefacing the text. Your Persona major stat governs this particular active skill.
In certain environments, there may be particular objects like candles or skulls, that may be interactable! Interacting with these objects may yield a new path to take and treasures to loot! Your Wisdom major stat governs this particular active skill.
Alchemy, Blacksmithing, and Item Foraging
You can keep track of the materials you’ve currently collected in your items tab (the first major tab in your inventory, adorned with a backpack, followed by the middle table with a potion icon).
With certain materials, you can create alchemic concoctions at alchemy machines.
With certain materials and a smith forge, you can create and upgrade equipment
Questing
Charting the Map
After you collect the quest from the NPC, you’ll be able to interact with certain landmarks in towns and other areas. When you interact with them, you’ll jot down the surrounding area in your map, getting a piece of the larger picture that is the Oneiric Isles.
