The hurricane challenge is a challenge I made up for Don’t Starve’s Shipwrecked DLC. This guide will tell you the world configuration settings for the hurricane challenge.
If you don’t already have it, the Shipwrecked DLC is required for the hurricane challenge. It’s available in the store just like you got don’t starve in. Once you have it bought, go to Don’t Starve, and you’ll see a box showing you have it. Install it, and once it’s done, boot up Don’t Starve. If you did it right, the title screen should be different.
Go to play and create a new world. Check the box next to the SW to make the world use the DLC. Go to the world configuration settings and set it to the settings below:
Dry Season: None
Monsoon Season: None
Mild Season: None
Hurricane Season: Long
Anything else should be left as it is and not changed, unless you want to spice it up a bit. Use any character you’d like. If you want an even harder challenge, use WX-78.
Once inside the world, it’s time to start the challenge. It will almost always be raining with wind, so sanity will go down faster. The wind can blow away items that are on the ground, so making a chest is advised for storage. I’ve tried it a few times, and every time I end up dying from the shadow monsters that appear with low sanity. It’s a tricky challenge and is not recommended for inexperienced players.
Now you can experience a hurricane all the time!
Comment below how many days you survive and what killed you.
