This week’s Black Market (Maurice’s Legendary Vending Machine) is in Carcadia Burn. Fast travel to the Low-Rise Safe House, head roughly 400 m southwest toward Queen’s Cradle, and look for the machine hidden about 75 m left of the entrance. Stock this week: Dedalus Buzz Axe (grenade) and Torgue Potato Thrower (assault rifle). Location resets every Thursday at 9:00 AM PT.
Where I Found This Week’s Black Market
I spent about ten minutes circling the wrong side of the map before I spotted the vending machine’s telltale glow. The Black Market is tucked into a corner of Carcadia Burn that’s easy to miss if you’re approaching from the fast travel station. 
From the Low-Rise Safe House, I headed southwest toward Queen’s Cradle — roughly 400 meters of open ground. The machine isn’t right at the entrance, though. It’s tucked about 75 meters to the left, partially obscured by rock formations and some of the region’s characteristic debris.
If you’re sprinting past, you’ll miss it. I did on my first pass. The machine blends into the environment until you’re basically on top of it.
What I Had to Do Before the Machine Would Let Me Shop
The Black Market isn’t available from the start. I learned this the hard way when I fast-traveled to the location during a fresh playthrough and found nothing but an empty spot.
To unlock it, I had to:
- Complete the main story campaign — no skipping this.
- Finish the introduction mission for Maurice’s Black Market, which is part of the Ultimate Vault Hunter challenge.
- Pick up that mission from Moxxi’s ‘Bottoms Up’ Bar — it’s not offered anywhere else.
The introduction mission itself isn’t long, but it’s mandatory. Until it’s done, Maurice’s vending machine won’t spawn in the weekly location.
What Maurice Is Selling This Week
The stock rotates, and this week I found two Legendary items:

One thing that caught me off guard: in Borderlands 4, the loot is personalized. Unlike Borderlands 3 where everyone sees the same stock, I could see different items than a friend standing right next to me at the same machine. The variants also rotate every 30 minutes, so if you don’t like what’s on offer, waiting a bit might change it.
I’d recommend checking the machine twice if you’re hunting something specific — the 30-minute rotation can flip an underwhelming roll into something worth the trip.
The Weekly Rotation Schedule I Track
The Black Market doesn’t move daily. It stays put for a full 7 days, then relocates every Thursday at 9:00 AM PT as part of the weekly rotation update.
That same update also resets the Featured Encore Boss and the Wildcard Mission, so it’s worth treating Thursday as your weekly reset day for all three activities.
