For Best Forklift Operator players, this guide wll show you how to play with multiple wheel, joystick & gamepad, let’s check it out.
Software to Download
Setting up 360 Controller Emulator
After installing, in the top right corner go to “+Add…” and select any controllers you want to use. In my case I am using my G29 and an xbox controller. After adding they should appear on the main window.
Now you select the device (in this example it is binding with my G29) The virtual triggers are now bound to my gas and brake pedal and the virtual left stick is bound to my steering wheel. I also bound the virtual A button to a paddle shifter on the steering wheel to change forward and reverse.
For the steering wheel I had to remove some deadzone for the wheel to operate smoothly.
You can use any pattern in the game but just make sure it’s set to a gamepad preset.
Setting up HidHide
After installing HidHide launch the configuration client. Under the ‘Applications’ tab click on the plus button and choose the path to the Forklift Operator Game.exe in your Steam Folder. Check the box for Inverse application cloak. This will add the game to the blacklist so it cannot see any of the gamecontrollers we’re about to select.
Next go to the ‘Devices’ Tab. You should see your connected controllers here. Check all the boxes for each controller EXCEPT for the X360 Emulator. Then check the box for ‘Enable device hiding’.
This hides all controllers from the game except the virtual controller. The game can now only see the emulated 360 controller.
