Baldur’s Gate 3 How to Create Multiple Custom Characters for Single Player

We will do this by launching the game multiple times on our PC and joining our own lobby.

• Close Steam, steam can not be running for this to work
• Go to the the Baldurs Gate 3 Folder of your installations and find the exe
  • usually: steam/steamapps/common/Baldurs Gate 3/bin/bg3.exe
• Hold shift and double left click bg3.exe
• The game should launch using Vulkan engine
• Once you are in the main menu I recommend adjusting the video settings to give your pc an easier time with this
  • I set the video resolution to the lowest [1280×720] and windowed. Graphics all low
• Create a multiplayer lobby. You will notice you are offline but it’s no problem. Create a LAN multiplayer lobby
• Now you just launch the game as many time as you want to create custom characters and join the lobby
• Once you are through character creation you can save and close all instances and then launch it with steam again to make sure your save is synced with steam cloud.
