If you want to enhance the graphic of Sword and Fairy 7 by enable Ray Trace, DLSS or DX12, this guide will explain how with details, let’s check out how.
How to enable Ray Trace, DLSS, DX12 (Manually)
navigate to C:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Local\Pal7\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and find GameUserSettings.ini find bNVRTX=0 bNVDLSS= set both to 1.
Now you should be able to play the game with Ray Tracing and DLSS on.
(If numbers doesn’t work, try it with True or False)
Some said number 1 = DLSS Performance, 4 = DLSS Quality. Try it yourself.
Easier way to do this is through NVIDIA GeForce Experience but i like it all professionally done. LOOOL
Dev said Ray Trace and DLSS will only be enable together if game runs on DX12
That been said, game is NOT optimized yet and I’m here to help 😀
Professional way : navigate to C:\Users\(yourname)\AppData\Local\Pal7\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor and find Engine.ini under [/script/windowstargetplatform.windowstargetsettings] change DX11 to DX12.
Easier way : add -DX12 in game properties…… (is in chinese but..you get the idea)
By adding -DX12 or change the value under Engine.ini will enable RTX and DLSS by default.
Do it yourself and don’t wait untill Dev release a patch that lets us choose what we want.
Other notes regarding to V-sync, capped frames and others
My monitor is 144Hz and Dev told me that V-Sync will sync your monitor’s frame rate. That mean with V-Sync on i should get over 60fps but……..
As I’ve tested myself.
V-Sync On will capped the frames at 60
V-Sync Off will uncap that (of course) but you’ll feel the game run little bit laggy and stuttering (tearing) during gameplay and cut-scenes. (even with 110+fps)
G-Sync does not apply, whether you have it On or Off. This game actually only depends on V-Sync (At least for me and for right now)
The game actually capped at 60fps and not beyond.
Theres no other way i can find to uncapped yet.
If you are feel stuttering druing gameplay or cut-scenes, simply turn on V-Sync (On by default).
It will capped at 60fps but run smoother than V-Sync off at beyond 60fps without feeling any stuttering.
(I’m very picky about the FPS stuff. Even can notice the difference between 59 and 60, literally)
You’ll have to deal it with black bars right now.I haven’t locate the right Hex Code to fix it yet.
If you want more professional informations.Go to PCGamingWiki (Sword and Fairy 7)[www.pcgamingwiki.com]
They update more often than me LOL
This….couldn’t be more easier but I feel like i should included in this trash talk ver. guide
Go to properties > languages > English
(Is in Chinese, but you get the idea…)
Thank you so much for this, I searched for an optimization guide for so long
