For BloodCard players, this is just a compilation of tips on the game and how to get their achievements, let’s check it out.
Introduction
Welcome one and all!
Made this guide because well, the game was tons of fun and figuring out combos was very cool.
So I thought I would share my findings along with my habit of making achievement guides for games I really like that dont already have achievement guides for them.
So here we are.
Check out the Tips section, there are things I wished I knew from the get-go.
If you want to have fun thinking about potential combos, do avoid the combos section and try to figure them out on your own.
There are no missable achievements.
I strongly suggest you check the Tips section then play the game and have as much fun as you want, then come back and read the rest of the guide.
Well, let’s get started.
General Tips
Think twice before getting that 1 card epic vs 3 normal ones, sometimes you just need the card count.Characters have special blood powers
See?
Death is your friend
He hits all enemies, he is a bro if you know how to co-op with him, you can whittle down all enemies keeping in mind that Death will hit them at the end of turn.’
Death doesn’t regenerate between battles
You can whittle death’s HP throughout all 3 floors, later in the game Death does heal 22 HP everytime an enemy dies, this is actually the best way to kill Death Lvl 8 with Blackie
Quitting a losing battle
If you just know you will die when you click that Pass button, quit the game and continue, the game will reset to the time when you entered the room and started the fight avoiding wasting your time, this might be cheating to some but godsend to others.
Save up gold for the shop before the Boss
Between 200 and 400 gold is fine, keep in mind that the cards in that shop event are fixed, even the ones that show up after you buy one.
Looks like there is a list of cards to replace the ones you buy, so if you want to see more cards in the shop, buy cheap cards to go through the replace list.
If you quit the game while in a shop and continue, you will reset from when you walked in and this way you can simulate having a refund of sorts.
Annoying Hidden Enemy
Some enemies start the battle hidden, that means you cannot target them until you kill the enemy in front of them. But cards that target all enemies can, you can even dispel Hidden with a Mass Dispel card. Death also can hit the enemies without problem.
Bosses have their own mechanics
Learn the mechanics of the bosses and take advantage of them.
The Card Library
You will unlock cards as you kill death or escape by winning the boss battle on floor 3.
I will name a few cards as I describe the combos, you can check what the cards do in your own card library which you can access here:
Best Cards & combos
If you have combos you’d like to share, please leave it in the comments, I’ll add it to the guide as soon as I can.
You can one-shot almost any enemy if you have enough cards and/or +Atk cards.
Have Search, Exhume for fast battles.
These two cards duplicate a card and puts it at the top of your deck, super useful to duplicate your best cards, combo these with cards that draw from your deck and you can pick up your best cards from the deck or discard pile that same turn.
This one also copies but only equipment, its great having 6 crystal balls because you kept copying them, a lot of applications.
This awesome cards can give you so much energy in a single turn its ridiculous, the more defense cards in your deck, the more energy you will get.
This one combos with Set Ablaze and Double Attack as well as Double Kick and any Recycling card.
It goes like this:
- Find Risk Taker
- Get a Recycling Card + Double Kick OR Set Ablaze/Double Attack
- se Risk Taker and then use the 15+ Energy attacking / recycling / copy&destroy then double kick
- Finish it off the attack with Blast Wave (or multiple Blast waves)
This is a great card that costs 0 energy, you can combo this with recycling cards or Risk Taker
These ones consume all your energy and do damage to your enemies.
You can stack on energy with other cards, get around 20 energy then unleash hell.
These combo beautifully with Blast Wave.
If you have extra damage due to cards or the Hero’s Sword, they will even do more damage.
This one combos with any equipment/card that gives you tons of Block.’
One of the ways to get tons of block, stone skin gives you block as you play it and as you heal it from discard to your deck, its great.
Staff of Order gives you Block for every card that goes into your Deck.
Patience puts a card into your deck for every point of damage you are dealt.
Have a Shield Bash on hand, then use Patience when something is going to hit you hard and watch your block go up, up, up. Then wham! bash it!
If you also have Demon’s Protection, you can purge all those curse cards and get even more block.
Patience gives you tons of curse cards, blessing of light gives you 2 block per curse purged into your discard pile, do the math, get tons of block, bash, you win.
Make it even better with a Staff of Chaos/Staff of Order
Get equipment into discard pile, save up energy, get a full hand, copy the equipment.
Equip 7 Wind Feathers that give you 105% evasion? You are untouchable.
Equip 6 Living Armors that give 24 block per turn, pretty nice.
Equip 6 Hero’s Sword that give you +12Atk every round, oh boy.
Equip 7 Crystal balls that give you 7 energy per turn.. so sweet.
Equip 7 necro robes that give you 7 energy every 4 times you play a card and this card is stonewall or fireball, you broke the game, gratz.
Copy Opress and watch your enemies have -14 Atk, fun times.
*Eventually Death will be Immune to Oppress
This one is nice if you have several copies of something you want.
Think of it as the brother of Meditation, do you have 6 wind feathers?
Use Call up and put all the feathers in your hand, play them and win.
Staff of Chaos does damage every time a card goes into discard pile.
Reckless Action puts half your cards into the discard pile, so the more cards you have, the more damage you do. Combo this one with anything that upgrades your damage for greater effect.
Energy Shield costs 0 energy and gives you shield for each energy point you have, Risk Taker can give you tons of Energy, if you have meditation, this combo is even greater.
- Make sure Energy shield is in your discard pile.
- Have Meditation and Risk taker, have a full hand.
- Use Risk Taker.
- Use Mediation, choose Energy shield.
- Profit.
Heck, even without Risk Taker, duplicating Energy shield is awesome.
You can kill Death easily if you pull this off.
- Equip 4 necromancer robes, you can use illusionary cards to copy them or have 4 of them in your deck to start off with.
- Get a recycling card in your hand as well as energizing potion.
- Have enough energy to use the potion and stone wall.. at least 4 energy.
- The potion costs 3 energy, making stone wall cost 1.
- Use stone wall 4 times, robes will proc, giving you 4 energy.
- Infinite block, spend hundreds of energy.
- Get 1000 block, use shield bash or double kick or blast wave, you win.
The bully version of the combo above, since Fireball does 10 damage and copies into your hand.
- Equip 4 necromancer robes, you can use illusionary cards to copy them or have 4 of them in your deck to start off with.
- Get a recycling card in your hand as well as energizing potion.
- Have enough energy to use the potion and stone wall.. at least 4 energy.
- The potion costs 3 energy, making Fireball cost 1.
- Use stone wall 4 times, robes will proc, giving you 4 energy.
- Infinite damage, spend hundreds of energy.
- Everything dies, you win
Bloodwitch Tactics
So I read around the forums that a lot of people think the bloodwitch is hard… its the opposite actually, this character is OP, you can get a lot of energy per turn if you create a good deck, even pull off some infinite combos.
Remember to use her blood power to get back sacrificed cards into your Deck.
Since the witch does not get Energy at the start of turn, this card is great for her.
With the Staff, everytime you use your blood power, you get block, its awesome.
If you have 6 or 9 copies of a normal card, this card shines, pulling ALL of those copies into your hand, giving you extra energy or the ability to cast half or all of them or you can use it to grab that card you need.
Awesome card that gives you extra cards (more energy) and damages enemies at the same time.
You can only have 10 cards in your hand.
1 energy per 4 cards played? hell yes.
This works great with a deck that draws new cards or recycles.
Both grant you +1 energy per turn but in different ways
1 free energy every time you use a 2 energy card? Couple this with Energizing Potion and you can do infinite combos… what about if you had MULTIPLE mirrors?
*Dont use Holy Grail with this combo, it will break it.
4 new cards for 3 energy, thats a +1 energy right there.
Plus, the new cards will be sent to your sacrifice pool and to your deck once you use your retrace ability. (+4 HP)
Same deal as above but minus the extra HP
Damages everytime you play a card, with a lot of necromancy robes, hero sword and draw cards, this can stack up to a lot of damage.
During this turn, all costs are -1, synergizes amazing with Necro Robes and Recycling Cards or Copy&Destroy
Battle/Normal Achievements
Rash
Gain no block in a single combat.Probably the easiest one, just dont use any cards that give you block and win.
Chicken
Gain more than 100 blocks during combat.
Having 100 block is easy once you setup your deck to have it.
Cards like Staff of Order combined with healing cards will get you this achievement super quick.
Revived
Gain 100 cards in total for leaving the discard pile in a single combat.
Healing cards shine here, you just need to last enough to heal it all.
Healing equipment works wonders too.
Dress up
Wear 10 equipment at one time.
If you have lots of equipment and can duplicate them, you’ll get this on floor 2 or floor 3.
Miser
Own 1000 or more gold.
You can get lucky with some events that give you 100 to 200 gold each or just do a Difficulty 1, Death 1 run and get the bare minimum cards and sell the rest for +20 gold, ofc, never use the shops.
Souless
Have no cards in your discard pile after winning a combat
You can use cards like Flash Heal to remove cards from your discard without the card going in, since it will destroy itself. Psionic Missiles and Ghost Armor also work for this.
Another method that might work is having healing equipment on you, so when you finish the round, all the cards in discard will be healed back into your deck, leaving you with 0 in discard.
Cursed
Accumulate at least 100 curse cards in draw pile in a single combat.
There is a fight where two witch 50+HP enemies give you 4 curse cards into your deck each round, play on Death 1 with cards to dispel Death’s damage and heal yourself, you’ll do fine.
Alternatively, you can use a few copies of the card: “Patience” and receive 100 damage.
Burning out
Destroy at least 100 cards in a single combat.
Using a Copy & Destroy infinite combo will get you this one.
Combos Expert
Use 20 cards in one round.Same as above
Creation
Obtain at least 100 temporary cards in a single combat.
Same as above “Copy and Destroy” counts as temporary.
Absolute Spender
Have no hand at the end of every turn of combat.
Super easy with Bloodwitch
Practice makes perfect
Use a total of 9,999 cards. You’ll get this one eventually, if not, grind on an infinite combo.
Collector
Unlock all cards.
Check your card library to see which cards are still locked and the conditions to unlock them, they will be mostly to win the game by beating the floor 3 boss or by killing death several times.
FTK
Win a combat on the first turn.
Elite FTK
Win a combat against an Elite on the first turn.
BOSS FTK
Win a combat against a Boss on the first turn.
Pretty easy if you pick the Reckless Action card and have a lot of cards.
I had a Talent that gave me +1 Atk at the start, a thus each card I had would do 3 damage instead of 2, I still would have killed him without it.
Having Search cards or Call up in your deck will help get the card to you on the first round.
You can always quit the game and continue to reset your starting hand.
This works in any fight with a single monster, normal or elite.
Escape
Beat the game by walking through every room.
Instead of winning by beating Death, beat the boss on Floor 3.
Back off
Beat the game 3 times in a row.
This means without losing between wins, you can win by escaping or killing death.
Curiosity
Walk through all rooms with a question mark in one game.
Do all events in each of the floors, when you clear the last event room in F3, this will pop.
Valor
Walk through all elite rooms in one game.
Same deal as above but choosing every elite room.
Pack light
Beat the game without using equipment. This one is special since equipment is such a huge advantage that winning without it is tricky, not only limiting your card picks but also having to figure out how to survive without them.
Needless to say, you gotta try to go for this achievement on the easiest of modes:
Difficulty 1, Death 1.
The way I pulled it off is with the bloodwitch, since she has a lot of potential once you get good cards for her.
In my run I got hold of the Risk Taker card which gives you 1 energy for each defense card on your deck that is thrown into discard pile.
Using any recycling card then a double kick card lets you do tons of damage after you spend 20 or more energy in a single round, if you can upgrade your damage before triggering these, the better.
In floor 2, I got Blast Wave that deals 3 damage for each energy spended, needless to say, this was very welcomed in my risk taker deck.
Double Attack and Set Ablaze spend all your energy in attacking so they combo beautifully with Blast Wave.
I also got duplication cards, like Inspiration and Buried Secrets to duplicate my attack cards.
So, the attack process goes like this:
- Find Risk Taker
- Get a Recycling Card + Double Kick OR Set Ablaze/Double Attack
- Use Risk Taker and then use the 15+ Energy attacking/recycling/copy&destroy then double kick
- Finish it off with Blast Wave (or multiple Blast waves)
- The other problem with this is healing, if you get the healing recycling card, you are set, if not, you have to rely on the few healing cards available.
Its game over when all your healing cards are in your discard pile, so watch out for that.
What saved me in that front is a card called Call up.
As for block, Stone skin is OP as it gives you block when its healed from discard and when it goes into discard.
Dispelling cards are useful to remove those pesky bonuses some enemies get and to dispel harmful negative effects you might pick up.
Anyway, remember to never use an equipment card.
Pretty sure if you sacrifice it, its okay, but never apply it on yourself.
Careful with those Talent equipment, since they automatically equip themselves at the start of battle, avoid those at all cost.
When you win a boss fight and open the boss treasure, instead of picking the item, Skip the choice and get 20 gold instead.
Bosses are kinda random, so you might have to do more than 3 runs to get them all, you have to do 5 runs to get all cards, so yeah…
Falling Single

Bloody Eye

Fire Dragon
Defeat the Fire Dragon.
Greedy Mouth
Defeat the Greedy Mouth.
Demon’s Skull
Defeat the Demon’s Skull.
Golem
Defeat the Golem.
Headless Horseman
Defeat the Headless Horseman.
Ghost Bride
Defeat the Ghost Bride.
Hydra
Defeat the Hydra.
Kill Death
Kill Death for the first time.999HP is easy when you know how to c-c-c-c-c-c-combo!
Hurry up
Beat the game in under 30 minutes.
The key here is getting to the gargoyle boss before 20 mins.
That leaves you with 10 minutes to kill death.
Getting the gargoyle boss is important due to its defensive mechanics, making it highly resistant to Death’s attacks.
Although, finding a way to reduce Death’s attack will be useful to keep Gargy alive, a Dispel or something that reduces Atk will work.
The Eye boss would work too but not as well.
Check your timer (you should have one setup) and if the boss battle is slow or goes bad, you can quit the game and restart the boss battle.
There are a lot of good combos out there, check the forums and the guides if you need help with those. Here is a video of how I pulled it off, although I had to restart the boss battle three times until I got it right. Meditation + Charged Shield + Shield Bash FTW
Rampage
Defeat Death on the first floor.
Destiny Defeated
Defeat max level Death on the first floor.
To get Death to Max Level, you need to kill him 7 times, each time he gets new powers and annoying abilities.
At max level, death cant be dealt more than 111 damage at once and every 222 damage he goes invulnerable. If we try to dispel his atk bonus or invulnerability, he heals for 222 HP.
And the worst of all, when Death appears, if he hits you, he marks you with a Death countdown that kills you in six turns. I think the Bloodwitch is immune to it, but Im not too sure.
The only two viable bosses on the first floor that can handle death for a dozen turns or so are the Gargoyle and the Eye Boss.
The Gargoyle mechanic is the best one since every other turn he is practically invulnerable.
Strongly suggest you use Bloodwitch for this one, read below.
Kill Death with Bloodwitch
Defeat max level Death with the Bloodwitch.
The equipment “Heavy Armor” will limit the damage you take to a maximum of 6, although Death’s increasing ATK might be a problem if it kills the other enemies/boss and thus, your chance for him to die on Floor 1. So, if his attack gets too big, do dispel him to prevent the boss from dying.
Good infinite combos include having 4 or more “Necromancer Robes” and using an “Energizing Potion”. Then use cards that are copied then destroyed (that now cost 1 Energy), use them 4 times and your robes will give you 4 energy, doing an infinite combo.
Now combo the above with a Magic Mirror that gives you 1 card every time a card is destroyed and you will have infinite cards. (Heck, why not have 3 magic mirrors or more)
You can also do this with recycling cards but those cost 2 energy even with the potion effect and you would need more Robes.
So yeah, you can read this guide for more tips, its super cool:
Kill Death with Blackblood
Defeat max level Death with the Blackblood.Because Death gives you a 6 turn limit to win the battle or die, you might not be able to do infinite combos on this one but if you whittle his HP from battle to battle, you can win over him by Floor 3.
A good tactic is fighting until the other enemies are almost dead, that they might die from a hit from Death, have enough block on your own and hit Death with Shield Bash or Reckless Action, he will go Invulnerable but that’s ok, the fight is over and he will only heal 22 HP.
Fight him enough and he will go down.
