Here is a guide to help you to go through the campaign & 100% achievements.
Getting Started
These 2 will happen at the very beginning of the game.
No tips needed.
I’d recommend to do this rather early. The 4 slot starting ship just doesn’t cut it.
The next cheapest ship with 8 slots for ~700 gold is a massive improvement, which you shouldn’t miss out on for too long.
Exploring the Map | Unique Islands
“The Giants” is located in the far south-west corner of the map.
It’s used to spend your level ups, and for other stuff which I will come back to in the last chapter of this guide.
You’ll know, when you find him. The Fish God, called Sam, has pretty much exactly the same map icon, as the one shown just above.
In order to unlock this achievement, you need to feed him with 800 units of water.
In order to store water, you first need to visit a ship workshop, and equip the “Water Barrel” for 2000 gold.
Note, that the amount of water units you can store per barrel, depends on the ship you’re currently using.
After that, you need to find 1 out of the 2 “Lake” islands in the south-east corner of the world map.
(That’s where they were located for me, please let me know, if it’s random.)
They’ll look like this:
“The Bank” is a unique, stand-alone island somewhere on the map. It was located in the south-east corner in my case.
Once discovered, you can either spend 10% or 50% of your money. Just go with 10% and you’re done.
Now let me tell you about something interesting: This game actually has a permadeath mechanic.
If you should run out of money on the world map – if your weekly crewmans’ pay exceeds the amount of money you’re currently holding – you lose the game.
The only way to avoid that, it to the pay the bank.
Even if you haven’t discovered the bank yet, they will give you a small loan the first time you run out of money. If you run out again, before you’ve paid them back, it’s game over.
Don’t worry though, I had no idea what I had to do the first ~2h and never ran into any problems.
Just don’t buy too big of a ship too fast.
Now, if you’re already endgame and own tens or even hundreds of thousand coins, you can still trigger the 2nd achievement, by just despositing all your current money in the bank (spam that 50% button) and than wait for the week to end.
Managing your Islands
You can buy every uninhabited island on the world map, which allowed you to loot something on the first visit. Just press the buy button in the lower right corner and pay a little fee.
I’ll tell you what you need to buy and build in the achievement below.
Now, don’t get your hopes up. You can’t built a lighthouse in this game. You can only rebuilt a broken down one. Why do I point this out? Because you first need to find the island, which houses the lighthouse’s ruins. Once you’ve done so, you’ll receive a letter on one of the post islands, asking you to rebuilt it.
The required materials are:

-> Required for the next achievement
Don’t even waste time looking at this achievement, if you haven’t completed the one above, yet.
There are 4 inns on the map. Each one is roughly located at one of the map’s corners.
In order to unlock this achievement, all 4 of them need to have a good quantity of Bread and Apple Juice at the same time. First of all, get 2 new islands and build the following:
Apple Grove
- Initial cost: 500 Gold
- Storage 1 or higher
- Apple Gatherers’ Hut
- 150 Gold | 5 Wood | 2 Workers
- Alchemist

- 15 Wood | 15 Stone | 2 Workers
- PRODUCES BREAD – by itself (flour)
Now, the next requirement kicks in:
Did you already restore the Mysterious Hands? If not, check the next chapter of the guide for the Second Seed.
If you have, you are now able to grab one of your islands, with at least 2 open building slots, and build yourself one of these fancy lightning towers and after that, a caravan on level 2 – since you’ll be needing 4 ships.. All required materials should be available to you by now.
After you’ve got yourself a caravan to level 2, go buy 4 ships. Even the cheapest kind will do; they only need 4 item slots for what we are doing as part of this guide.
Now, load all 4 of them with 30 bread and 25 apple juice each.
(Might be overkill, but this is how it worked for me.)
After all your ships have the required cargo, send each one to one of the inns and use the commands on the right.
Your ships will hug those inns and the inns’ trust will boost immediately.
This will unlock you the achievement
Seconds later, a package will be send to the post office in your starting island.
Go grab it, since you’ll be needing it for later.
This refers to the 15.000 gold goal, which you’ll receive pretty much within the first 20min of the game.
Nothing too fancy and no tips from my side; those 15k should be easy enough. Especially once you’ve aquired all the islands and items above.
