Chook & Sosig: Walk the Plank is a humorous ⠀ classic point and click adventure game.
In this guide we will give you a full walkthrough of the game, including all achievements.
Alert: This guide will be full of spoilers.
- Notes/tips:
- Hold Space to see all hot spots you can interact with.
- Game autosaves every new scene you enter.
- When we write exhaust all dialogue it means clicking on each dialogue choice until it becomes gray. The last option almost always quits the conversation. This is needed because a lot of characters give info that is needed to finish the game.
Talk to Captain Min and exhaust all dialogue, finishing with “Can I join your crew?”
Go to the right and talk to Chook and exhaust all dialogue.
Go to the right and talk to Fortune Teller Hebble and exhaust all dialogue.
Go to the left and enter the shop.
Interact with the wall torch near the entrance to pick it up.
Interact with the fishbowl.
I hope he remembers me!

Talk to the cow
- Nice Place
- What have you been collecting?
- So what do you sell in here?
- Do you know anything about the fauntain?
- Can you turn the fountain on?
- There’s a ton of kids outside
Interact with the plantpot near the door to find a note.
Check the note to see where the 2nd note will be(ship-in-bottle or fishbowl etc) and pick that one up
Go right and talk to Chook for the 3rd note
- Have you seen a note from cow?
Note you need to memorize the picture shown, and interact with the object on this island that looks like it.

After finding the last item you should have a solution for the puzzle in the fountain
Go to the fountain and interact with the side panel,
Solve the puzzle and pull the switch using the password from the last note. (this puzzle is random)
Go back to captain min and tell her the fountain is fixed.
We can now travel to different islands.
Travel with the ship to the bottom left Island.
Go all the way to the right.
Interact with the parrot.
Talk to Naughty goblin.
- What are you doing?
- What else is in the soup?
- If I light the fire could I have the scissors?
- What’s with the parrot?
- Can I take the parrot with me?
- See you both later!
Interact with the parrot to take him.
Use the parrot on both goblins (1/18),(2/18)
Head left and interact with the conservation sign, and click on Kakapo.
Click back and wait near the Windsock for 1-2 min until the kakapo appears in a bush and click on it.
I see you!
You spotted the kakapo!
Head left into the World Map.
Sail to Cape Codnapper
Use parrot on Captain min (3/18)
Use the parrot on the Rum Kegs on the left.
Use the Torch from your inventory on the Rum kegs, to get Rum-Soaked Torch.
Head back to World map and sail to the upper left Island.
Head near the door and click on dragon’s eye.
Interact in the following order:
Leg, Also a leg, The best leg, A fine leg, The best leg.
Go through the door.
Click on the switch
Head down the stairs to the left and use the parrot on Cow (4/18)
Talk to Cow.
Exhaust all dialogue.
Go back and use the torch from your inventory on Fire near the stairs to get a Lighted torch.
Head outside and to the world map.
Sail back to Goblin Isle and light the cooking pot at the goblins, using your torch. (1/5)
You will get the Scissors. Head back to world map.
Head to Cape Codnapper.
Use the Lighted torch from your inventory on Rum Kegs.
I wanted to see it burn!
You almost wiped an entire island off the map.
Go into the shop and use Parrot on Merchant Cow (5/18).
Use the Mystery Gift Voucher on Merchant Cow and interact with the Mysterious box below the counter to get Sandpaper.
Exit the shop, head Right and use the Parrot on Chook (6/18) keep going right and use Parrot on Fortune Teller Hebble (7/18).
Leave the island and head to Goblin Isle.
Use Sandpaper on Scissors, and use the scissors on Thick Leafy Mass in the middle of the island.
Pick up the orchid and leave.
Sail to the right island (Adventurer’s Guild)
Use the Parrot on Explorer Hebble (8/18)
Talk to him and exhaust dialogue.
Go left and use the Picture of Kittens multiple times until you rip it off and click on Oddly Sparse Map underneath it.
Head back to Explorer Hebble and talk about the map.
Use the Lumi Orchid from your inventory on the oddly sparse map. (1/8)
And on the Banner left of the map. (2/8)
Leave and sail to the top right island (Forsaken Atoll)
Use Parrot on Viking Min (9/18).
Talk to her and exhaust dialogue.
Use Torch on Campfire (2/5).
Use the Lumi Orchid on the Carved Boulder (3/8)
Leave and sail to the top middle island (The Beast Below)
Go towards the seagul nest for a cutscene.
Use the Lumi Orchid on the Octopus Mural.(4/9)
Head inside.
Interact with Chalkboard.
Interact with the Large tome.
Use the Lumi Orchid on the large tome. (5/8)
Interact with the cocktail menu.
Use Parrot on barkeep cow (10/18)
Talk to him and exhaust dialogue.
Use Parrot on Waitstaff Hebble (11/18)
Talk to him and exhaust all dialogue.
Leave and sail to the leftmost island (Bottle Mail Central).
Use Parrot on Goblin with bottle (12/18).
Talk to him and exhaust dialogue.
Use Parrot on Goblin Queen Min (13/18).
Talk to her and exhaust all dialogue.
Talk to the goblin with bottle again and pick the new dialogue options.
Leave and sail to adventurer’s guild.
Use Parrot on Bear’s tail (the rag) and pick up the gull mail card from his mouth.
Leave and sail to The Beast Below.
Show the Gull Mail Card to the barkeep cow to get a token.
Exit and use the token on the gull machine outside.
Use the lever thrice the lever would jam.
Use the scissors on the rope.
Interact with the very angry seagul.
Leave and head to the Sea Shrine Island.
Use the Lumi Orchid on the Crumbling Wall outside (6/8).
Head inside the sea shrine and use the Lumi Orchid on the Rubble below the stairs (7/8).
Talk to cow about the calming poems, and exhaust all dialogue and leave.
Sail to Cape Codnapper and enter the shop.
Light the candles at the counter with the torch (3/5) and more candles on the left (4/5). (Note: Firestarter might unlock early here)
Talk to Merchant Cow and ask him if he sells pens.
Leave the island and sail to the beast below.
Enter the tavern, and ask Waitstaff Hebble about the pens and ink after.
Leave and sail to Adventurer’s guild.
Use dried up pen from your inventory on the stuffed squid on the wall, to get Inky pen.
Leave again and head to sea shrine island, and give the pen to cow to get a soothing & relaxing poem.
Leave and Sail to the beast below.
Use the poem on the very angry seagull outside and click on him to get new location on your map.
Leave and sail to the right bottom and enter the island with a skull on it. (Haunted Cove).
Head all the way down the stairs and a cutscene should play.
Head to the right and interact with the pole in the ground twice to pick it up.
Use Parrot on Dragon (14/18).
Talk to him and exhaust dialogue.
Leave and sail to the island in the bottom (Secret Reef).
Click on the radio 8 times.(might be random, keep clicking till it pops)

Click on stove door, and light it with your torch. (5/5)
Note: if it doesn’t pop, travel back to the shop and light up the 2 candles again.

Set all burnables on fire
Interact with the Tap.
Walk towards the rope near the stove. Pick it up.
Leave the island and sail to Cape Codnapper
Enter the shop and talk to cow.
Ask him about Galaxy Princess doll.
Leave and sail to The Beast Below.
Talk to Waitstaff Hebble and talk to him about the Galaxy Princess doll.
Talk to Cow Barkeep about the doll, and ask what would make Hebble part with it.
On the scene with the phone click on green arrow to upvote.
You upvoted Hebble’s photo
Talk to the barkeep again about the doll, and this time downvote the picture (red arrow).
Talk to Hebble and ask if he has second thoughts about the doll.
After the dialogue, pickup the doll from the table and leave.
Sail to Cape Codnapper and head all the way to the right and pick up the kettle.
Leave and sail to Secret Reef island.
Put the Kettle on Stovetop.
Now the mechanism should work and a new area would open.
Use the Parrot on Mermaid Hebble (15/18)
Talk to Mermaid, and exhaust all dialogue.
Leave and sail to Goblin Isle.
Use Poster Stack on conservation sign and interact with it.
Leave and sail to Cape Codnapper.
Go inside the store and try to put the Poster on the bulletin board below the fishbowl.
Head outside and all the way to the right.
Talk to Fortune Teller, and ask him about the poster.
Choose dialogue: Seaweek?
Choose: The yellow blabby seaweed
Head back to the shop and use the poster on bulletin board again.
Leave and sail into the haunted cove.
Give the Galaxy Princess to the dragon.
Combine the Shovelhead with the Pole in the inventory and leave.
Sail to the beast below, go into the tavern, and use the poster on the poster board and scissors on it after before Cow stops you.
Leave and sail to the Secret reef.
Talk to the Mermaid; say that all posters are up and leave.
Sail all the way to the bottom left corner, and try entering the location.
Sail to Forsaken Atoll and talk to the viking about the fog.
Exhaust all dialogue and use the net on the right.
Use the rope from your inventory on the engine that was under the net.
Now use the parrot on the winch to make it move.
Interact with the lobster pot and pick up the chisel.
Use the Chisel on the figurehead near the engine.
Leave the island and sail to adventurers guild.
Interact with the red button on the side of the table.
Use the torch on the desk cannon.
Talk to Explorer Hebble, and ask about the cannon.
Use the Parrot on Hebble, and then use the parrot on the cannon.
Ignite the cannon with the torch again.
Interact with the Stone Tablet on the wall to pick it up.
Leave and sail to the Forsaken Atoll.
Use the stone tablet on the figurehead.
Leave and sail all the way to the bottom left corner and enter the new area (Undersea Palace).
Use your chisel on the Stubborn Calm near the stairs, the pearl inside would fall.
Solve the puzzle to get the pearl.
Click on the pipes in order shown to get the pearl.
Pick up the pearl and head downstairs.
Use the parrot on Sea Goddess Hebble (16/18).
Talk to her and exhaust all dialogue.
Use the parrot on Goblin in a cage (17/18).
Talk to him and exhaust all dialogue.
Leave and sail to the bottle mail central.
Talk to Goblin Queen Min, and ask her about the mail for the Sea Godess.
Now talk to the Goblin with a bottle about the mail.
Pick: Weather vane? leave the conversation.
Use the pearl on the golden weather vane.
Leave and sail to Undersea Palace.
Talk to the Goddess, and exhaust all dialogue.
Click on the Antique Bottle, near the Secrative clam to get a Worrying mail.
Leave and sail to the Forsaken Atoll.
Interact with the Barrel-o-Fish.
Give the letter to the Viking and leave.
Head Back to the undersea palace and give the letter to the goblin in a cage, he will only sign it if you give him food.
Leave and sail to the Haunted Cove.
Use the Shovel on the X marks the spot all the way to the right of the dragon.
Interact with the chest, and a ghost would appear.
Use the Parrot on Ghost Min (18/18) (If it doesn’t unlock you can revisit characters to try any you may have missed)
Please look at my son.
You showed everyone the parrot, even if they didn’t want to see him.
Talk to the ghost and exhaust all dialogue.
Leave and sail to Cape Codnapper,
Talk to Chook and ask him about the chalk drawings.
Go all the way right and inspect the skull.
Talk to the fortune teller and ask him about the skull.
Ask if is there any way for you to have the skull.
When you see the recipe book inspect 4 of the ingredients (you need to to pick up a mushroom later)
Talk to him again and ask:
- What other methods of divination have you tried?
- Can you read some tea leaves for me?
- Thats enough peering into the future for me now
- Laters, Hebble!
Click on the teacup to get some Used Tea Leaves.
Leave and sail to The Beast Below Tavern.
Use the Chalk from your inventory on the Chalkboard left of the cow to edit the day.
Click on barkeep cow and tell him the challenge is today.
Pick up the large hunk of meat from the table.
Interact with the coctail menu next to the barkeep, and select the orange one “skeleton dance”.
Talk to the barkeep again and ask him for a drink.
Keep telling him about your deeds until you can pick:
I looted a dragon’s hoard.
Now select the drink Skeleton Dance and leave.
Sail to the Haunted Cove and pick up the Spindleshrooms (look blue). Can only be picked up if you clicked on all 4 ingredients at Cape Codnapper.
Leave and sail to the Goblin Isle, head right to the cooking pot.
Place Used Tea Leaves, cocktail, and mushrooms inside.
Interact with the pot after placing all ingredients. and use the empty bottle on the pot to get Clairvoyance Potion.
Leave and sail to Cape Codnapper, go all the way to the right and give the potion to Fortune Teller Hebble.
Pick up the skull near him and leave.
Sail to undersea palace, and give the Hunk of meat to the caged goblin he will sign the letter.
Leave again, and head to the haunted cove.
Give the Skull to the Ghost, and open the chest.

Pick any option to finish the game
Click on continue game from the main menu.
Head outside and sail to the Forsaken Atoll.
Give the Letter to the viking.
