Note: For most crops, growth time is the same between normal and golden versions. The only exception is Botakichi Golden Wheat, which takes 1 day longer than regular Botakichi Wheat.
Important Notes on Fertilizers and Yield Boosters
Items like “Rapid Fertilizer” or “Subaru’s Good Mood Curry” that claim to increase harvest yield actually work on a probability basis—they have a chance to double the yield per crop. Despite what the description might suggest, it’s not a guaranteed fixed increase. Sometimes you’ll see no change at all. This works similarly to the “Harvest Yield” job ability.
Bonus 1: How to Collect Seeds
Shiny Seeds
- Obtained when harvesting crops grown from normal seeds.
- If you keep farming, they’ll naturally pile up. No need to stress about them.
Golden Seeds
- Obtained when harvesting crops grown from normal seeds or shiny seeds.
- If you don’t get enough, you can go back to the title screen and choose “Start from the Beginning of the Day” to return to before harvesting. You can re-harvest as many times as you want, but don’t go overboard—it’s not great for your mental health to reset too many times for a perfect drop.
Shiny Golden Seeds
- Obtained when harvesting crops grown from golden seeds.
- Whether a crop becomes shiny or not is determined once it’s fully grown. Going back to the start of the day won’t change this.
- You can use a pickaxe to dig seeds out of fully grown crops. Since golden seeds are valuable, consider digging them up instead of harvesting if the crop isn’t shiny. If you dig up seeds, any fertilizer applied to that plot remains, so re-fertilizing is a good idea if you plan to replant there multiple times.
Cooking Buffs for Seed Drops
- Choco Omurice: Increases rare seed drop rate.
- Mendou Botan Special Ramen: Increases shiny seed drop rate.
- It’s unclear when exactly to eat these dishes for maximum effect. Common sense says eat them at harvest time, but since shininess is decided when the crop is fully grown, eating the ramen at harvest likely does nothing. The best guesses are: eat when planting seeds, or right before sleeping the day before harvest. Since it’s hard to verify, if you want to be safe, eat them at all those times. Honestly, it’d be great if the devs just told us the exact timing.

Calculated as: (Crop Price × Yield – Fertilizer Cost) ÷ Days to Harvest. Values are rounded down. Higher numbers are better. This is just a rough guide, not an exact comparison.
