The official guide and tips to solving The Solace Paradox Demo.
Tips for Demo [No Spoilers]
1. Remember that the game is cooperative; you need your friends’ help to solve it! Talk about what you see, listen to what others describe, and ask clarifying questions to make sure you’re getting the full picture.
2. Everything is solvable with information you find in the game, and nothing requires fast reaction times or skill check mechanics.
3. Giving thorough descriptions of what you find and see may reveal additional information as you compare your world to other players’.
4. Pay attention to all aspects of the things you find that others don’t have; size, shape, color, location, sound, quantity, pattern, and more may set your clues apart from what other players find.
5. Don’t be afraid to retrace your steps if you feel hung up on a certain part. There is a lot of information to sift through and it can be easy to accidentally reference a clue incorrectly (it’s ok, it happens!)
6. If you find information that other players don’t have, make sure to read or describe it to them even if it doesn’t seem important; you won’t know for sure until they can hear it too.
7. Explore your surroundings thoroughly; helpful items and clues may not be immediately apparent. Sometimes it can be worth re-checking areas to see if there’s anything you missed.
Walkthrough for Demo [Spoilers]
In our experience, most players are
right there when they start hitting a block and just need to revisit their clues together or explore something they overlooked previously.
Still feeling stuck? We also made a solution guide.
The Lower Lab
In the lower lab is a cell-charging workstation composed of glass beakers, a stone tablet, and a charging slot all wired together. Each player will find several cell recipes laying around the room, as well as empty cells to charge. Ingredients are located around the lower lab area and need to be placed into the slots on the charging apparatus that correspond with their symbol on the recipe.
Each recipe has a magical ingredient that is located in a secret room. To reveal the room, find the blue crystal in the upstairs office and place it into the slot to the right of the red basement door.
If you make some cells wrong, don’t worry, they’re reusable! See The Testing Chamber section to learn how to determine the correct recipes to make.
The Power Platform
In the main chamber up on a platform is a spherical device with three numerical dials on it that provides power to the system. The correct power output is determined by adding up the Power Draw from all four correct cell recipes. See The Testing Chamber section to learn how to determine the correct recipes to make.
