If you are playing 5050 and want to unlock all achievements, this guide will show you how to get all achievements in this game
Easy achievements
*** Congratulations! ***
Simply win once, should be easy
*** Expecting a loss ***
Simply bet 2 out of your 100 starting points.
*** All or nothing ***
Pretty simple, you just need one loss.
Start with 100, bet 99. If you lose, you’re done. If you win, you should have 99*2 + 1 = 199. This time you bet 198, then 396 etc. if needed. You will lose at some point, be left with 1 point and get the achievement.
*** Beekeeper ***
Once you get a game over, there is a bee icon, click on it
Strategy and more achievements
Let’s discuss strategy. I initially wanted to just go all-in every time and hope for the best. But you need to win 14 times in a row for that and the chance of doing that is 1/16,384 (or 2^14)!
Instead, we focus on betting about HALF every time (more on that later). But there isn’t a point doing that when under 1,000 since you haven’t really achieved anything. So go all-in on 100, 200, 400 and 800. The chance of getting to 1,600 this way is a manageable 1/16.
If you at any point go below 1,000 again, go all-in until you lose or are above again.
*** Maths challenge ***
The easiest way to get this is to do it with a loss. Once you are above 1234, you bet what you have above it (if you have 1235, bet 1, if you have 1236, bet 2 etc.). Continue to do that until you lose and land on 1234. (use calculator if needed)
Note: with 1,600 you need to bet 366 (then 732, 1464 and 2928 if needed).
In case you are slightly below, you can also try getting it with a win. In this case, you bet what you need. If you are at 1230, you need 4 so you bet 4. If you win, you land at 1234. Otherwise you bet 8 at 1226, 16 at 1218 and so on (doubling every time). Eventually you will win and hit 1234.
Note: with 800 you need to bet 434.
*** Oof ***
Once you are above 1,000, you are eligible for this achievement. According to a discussions comment, you need to bet at least 60% while having more than 1,000 points and lose.
Note: with 1,600 you need to bet 960. With 1,234 you need to bet 741.
* Remaining achievements *
In my opinion, the 1,000 to 50,000 range is the worst — you are far from achievements and there is still a decent risk of going below 1,000.
The benefit of betting half is that you still have another chance if you lose. If you for instance have 5,000 and lose, you still have 2,500 (instead of 0 if you went all-in). Keep in mind it takes several all-in turns from the beginning to reach these four digit values.
All in all it is mostly a game of luck from here.
Note: there is another strategy about doubling, see the other guide for more info on that.
One slight detail is you should aim for the achievements if you want them (otherwise you might lose and miss the chance). If you for instance have 46,000 and want the 50,000 achievement, don’t bet 23,000. Just bet 4,000. If you lose, bet 8,000 with your 42,000.
Achievement values: 50K, 100K, 500K, 1M
You don’t need to go over 1 million so use this method to reduce the risk of losing. If you have 800,000 for example, you only need 200,000 more so you don’t need to bet more than 200,000.
Until 666,667: bet 50%
From 666,668: bet the missing portion (now less than 50% of your points)
*** Going out with a bang ***
Lastly, there is an achievement for betting everything while having more than 500,000. Goes without saying that this should be your last achievement. Once you have 1,000,000, you don’t need your points anymore. The game doesn’t end at a million (you can play on) so there isn’t a risk of missing it that way.
