For BlasterBeat players, this is a guide meant to help players from other games to convert their sensitivity from other games, like let’s say Team Fortress 2 or Counter-Strike to Blasterbeat
TL:DR
1 Source = 0.022BB
(these are still prone to human error) With the base sens from the game and let’s say 800 dpi, it would give you less than 1cm/360 (0.025146cm/360) that why it feels so bad, unfortunately the game sensitivity doesn’t seem to follow how other games calculate their sensitivity, so 200 dpi at 1 sens isn’t the same as 0.5 at 400(i don’t have the technical know how to explain why, if you do please comment as it would be appreciated to add and know why it is this way).
Therefore i would suggest you not to mess around with the sens, but rather your dpi, either through proprietary mouse software (your REDRAGON gaming mouse, G Hubs, etc) or Rawaccel[github.com] with the actual mouse acceleration part turned off and a multiplier on your dpi
(at the time of making sites like mouse-sensitivy.com / gamingsmart.com don’t have an entry of this game on their site, so no you can’t just put the numbers there right now)
But how did i do it?
Here at the conditions in which i did this test (i hope this don’t change the result to much) Windowed,1600×900, Low, TAA and on 85% resolution
A note for the developers
So what could be done to improve this (you’l probably have some better ideas of how to handle this than what i suggest, but here we go)
- Widen the sensitivity range, currently it only let’s you chose 2 digits pass the decimal point, to maybe 4 or even 5 digits
- Make it so that the 1 sensitivity at 1000 dpi is roughly around the 25cm/360 mark as it is considered the “base mark” for a new player in most shooters/aiming communities
- Or even better for those that are coming form other shooters, as a side option let the player input their current dpi and their cm/360 so there’s no hassle to calculate it
*Also split the gamepad and mouse sensitivity so that a player can hop seamlessly between those input methods and let the player change the keys they use for certain actions instead of selecting between two types (there’s currently no way, that i know at least to be able to map the side buttons of your mouse for using abilities and alike on the game itself)
