For Mega City Police: Prelude players, this guide provides an overview of all agents, including each agent’s Defensive and Offensive special abilities.
Agent: Rookie
Moves fast in your current direction. Makes you unhittable for its duration.
TIPS
- Use Tactical Dash’s invulnerability frames to dash through the flames caused by molotov cocktails and exploded cars. The “flame DoT meter” will pop up for only a split second, and you *won’t* take damage.
- Use dash to close-in quickly on enemies that are backing away from you, so that you can melee-attack them or use short-range weapons, like sawed off shotguns.
Throw a grenade that stuns enemies and stops all attacks.
TIPS
- The flashbang’s affect-radius is not very large. If enemies clump together, that’s a fine opportunity to use flashbang. 🙂
- Flashbang is just as effective against bosses, as it is against regular enemies.
Agent: Cyborg
Cancels any attacks and stuns enemies in the Magnetic Pulse radius.
TIPS
The pulse’s radius is pretty small, so I find it best to trigger this when enemies are pretty close. I believe it works “through” walls, so keep that in mind when positioning to us this.
Aim at targets automatically for a brief period of time.
TIPS
Note that you need to keep firing your weapon and need line-of-sight on the enemies in order for the auto-tracking onscreen square crosshair to target enemies.
Agent: Scout
Turn invisible for a short time and become unhittable by projectiles and beams.
TIPS
This is great for sneaking up and performing melee attacks, but works better if you’ve found a more powerful melee weapon to use. It’s also useful for quickly moving to a protected area if you’re surrounded.
Briefly activate a laser sight that ensures crits from projectiles and beams.
Agent: Detective
Drop down to the ground to stay out of reach from projectiles and beams. Move in any direction to get up.
TIPS
Going prone does NOT protect you from melee attacks or explosions. You can’t just lie down forever and survive. 🙂
Also, while prone, you can’t fire or melee-attack any enemies.
Call in two police robots for temporary backup. These will fire beam pistols at enemies, and will stay alongside you, for a few precious seconds.
TIPS
Because the police robots fight alongside you, you can’t turtle in a back corner while they fight well ahead of you. So in some situations, you need to move forward a bit so that the robots have enemies to target.
