For Contraband Police players, this guide provides tips to help you become the ultimate policeman, save more money, and be a better inspector.
Don’t drive recklessly. Use sirens!
Driving like you just downed 50 beers can cause you to crash, hurting your car. Hurting your car is bad, as it can provide good protection in case of an ambush. Make sure to drive with caution. Using sirens is very helpful too, as it makes other people drive their car to the side, giving you more room to drive!
Make a route
When driving, it is best to use the same route each time, as you want driving to be easy, right? To help you drive better, consider drawing yourself a route. This way, driving will be so easy! Make sure to use the map while driving too, but don’t hold it out for too long, or you might crash, which is bad.
This is my route, which I use every time I drive. Using this route brings you to the police base, the labor camp, and Vlad’s Shop! These 3 places are the only places you need to go to when you drive. It is recommended that you go to the labor camp first, as putting your prisoners away is top priority.
Don’t fight ambushes
Ambushes are too frequent, and they lend you very little money. Spending a minute for $70 isn’t worth it, especially since you waste ammo doing so. Instead, just drive away! They don’t follow you, so don’t worry about them following you. You save yourself time and ammo.
Time is not something to worry about
When you inspect, don’t worry about taking forever! Take your time and find all the discrepancies, because you don’t get penalized for taking too long. The only bad thing is that you might get a bit less sleep, but who cares? Money is better than sleep in Acaristan.
Don’t use peripheral vision!
This is probably the biggest tip I can give you. Peripheral vision should not be used frequently. This is Contraband Police, not Papers Please. Instead of using your vision tool, just pull out your inspection report, and check it off manually! Only use your vision for things that you think will take too long to verify. For me, I use vision when verifying expiration dates and vaccinations.
Don’t stockpile on criminals and contraband!
Do not hoard a bunch of criminals and contraband. If you do, you will just end up spending money to upgrade cells and storage. Instead, go and take care of them after you finish up inspecting everyone. By doing this, you won’t risk prisoners escaping, or spending extra money for upgrades. Upgrades are permanent, and the daily cost goes up when you upgrade too. Do a bit of extra work, and you save yourself a ton of money!
The Makarov is all you need!
The Makarov, or pistol, is all you need in fights. It one shots in the head, and it has really cheap ammo! It does have a bit of spread, even if you aim down your sights, so try to close the gap before shooting. Stockpiling on ammo is crucial for post attacks and shootouts. I recommend keeping at least 10 mags on you. Any less, and you should go pay Vlad a visit.
Don’t upgrade everything
