Just a simple list of weapons and enemies/bosses that will appear in the game.
Introduction
This is a quick guide listing the weapons, enemies and bosses in Koronebox.
I played this game back when it was first publicly released, its update v1.1 (had achieved 63 boxes in Pepperbox), and recently played this Steam version to see what changed.
v1.1 added a new alt-fire for Handmine, Frisbee and Dual Finger Guns, along with a few balance changes.
v1.2.3(Steam) added a new alt-fire for Shotgun and Bonemerang(which also seems to be a bit smaller, better for throwing around corners). It also seems that Frisbee has a short grace period before it can hurt you, so you are no longer in danger if you throw it at a wall that you are hugging close to.

1) Spawns green eye enemies that chase you, similar to cockroach but with a bit more HP.
2) Shoot 2 streams of bullets in a circle around himself.
3) Shoots 3 waves of 3 homing bullets! Very dangerous! Its possible to get sniped even though the bullet flew off-screen in the green Pepperbox map.

1) Shoot a machine gun stream of bullets.
2) Sheds bullets that ricochet off walls.
3) Chargeup and shoot a giant slash that will pass through walls and destroy your projectiles!

1) Shoot a line of bullets at you + another 2 lines to your left and right. Very dangerous, especially in Hard Mode.
2) Chargeup and launch itself in your direction until it crashes into a wall, spilling bullets. Just side-step and don’t be near a wall.
3) When not in line-of-sight, it will jump into the air. Dodge the crosshair that appears, or you’ll get exploded and showered in bullets. This is the easiest move to bait & punish.

1) It starts off immobile in a cage. AT 50% HP, it will break free from its cage and rush at you at high speed.
2) Machine gun sprays a lot of slow bullets in a clockwise or anti-clockwise pattern.
3) Every once in a while, it will breathe a gigantic fireball that will explode and spray shrapnel.

1) When not in line-of-sight, it will spawn a crosshair on you. After a delay, a ring of bullets will appear and converge to the center. In Hard Mode the ring is a lot tighter.
2) When in line-of-sight, it will charge up 3 lasers, aimed at your last recorded location at the start of each chargeup. The laser is lethal, and also creates a ring of shrapnel on colliding with a wall. Beware that killing the boss does NOT stop the laser from firing until it has exploded.
3) Every once in a while, this boss may choose to teleport away to some other corner of the map.
Spoiler: Final Boss “???”
The game will continue forever even after defeating this boss, and it is necessary to do so in order to unlock the “BLT” weapon.
Description:
aka “Darkside Korone”.
[picture]
She is your doppelganger, using weapons similar to what you have. She will always start with the machine gun, and then randomly change between her 5 weapons every few seconds.
Attacks:
1) Machine Gun
Always starts with this gun. She spray a stream of bullets toward you, alternating between clockwise & anti-clockwise.
2) Yubivolver
Shoot bullets that can ricochet off walls, similar to the Husketeer’s.
3) Frisbee
Throw slow frisbees that can ricochet off walls. She will hurt herself each time she throws a frisbee.
4) X-Potato Cannon
Rocket launcher. Don’t be anywhere near a wall or the explosion may get you. If you are using Chainsaw, always be ready to stop attacking & run away; sawing the rocket will cause it to explode, which will damage her, but will also get you killed if you aren’t running away.
5) Bonkhammer
Do NOT shoot at her! She will reflect your bullets back at you! When she gets close enough to you, she will stand still for a moment before attacking. As long as you keep moving and don’t attack her until she changes to another weapon, you’ll be safe.
Closing Thoughts
The main criticism I have of the game is that visibility could be a bit better – sometimes enemies/bullets can hide behind the box you are trying to collect, the trees in pepperbox have deceptively bigger & more square collision than they look, the spawner does blink but gives no indication of how soon the enemies will actually appear, and the Listener enemies don’t telegraph when they are just about to shoot.
The other issue is that it is possible to get a very bad weapon+boss RNG combination – most notably getting Handmine vs Dragonsmute boss on the top right island in Pepperbox. I think its beatable, but its still a very painful experience, not helped that you can’t disable undesirable weapons after you’ve already unlocked them.
However, I feel those are pretty minor issues due to the short and free nature of the game. Overall, I’d still recommend it.
I hope this guide helped, or at least acts as a decent documentation of its features. Thank you for reading.
