The Room Syndrome: All Endings Guide

This the easiest ending to get. This guide assumes you already know the basics of how to time travel.

Ignore David, don’t even talk to him. To begin, unlock the radio (outlined in my earlier guide). Time travel to frequency 101.9, and walk down into the purple lines. New lines appear, and the layout of the room changes slightly. Walk up to the side of the bed, touching the purple lines that cross your path, and then up into the lines surrounding the trash can. There are now a ton of keys on the floor. Take one, and put it inside the end table near the right wall. Then, walk up to the radio.

Optionally, you can travel to frequency 97.3, and interact with the upturned table to see a code etched into it, then go to 88.2, or just go straight to 88.2 and use the code when I tell you.

At 88.2, almost none of the furniture is there, only the radio, end table, chest, and fireplace. Open the end table and take the key, then interact with the chest. The combination is 1971, but you must put the 9 in last. For example, you would change the top number to 1, the third number to 7, the fourth number to 1, and then the second number to 9. The chest will unlock, and open. Place the key inside it, and then travel back to 98.0.

Ignore David completely for this part too. Grab the key out of the chest in 98.0, then walk up to the door and unlock it, and walk through. I won’t spoil what actually happens, but that will get you the paradox ending as long as you didn’t do too much extra.

This ending is very similar to Paradox, so everything underlined is copied directly from that section.

Click on every option available until every single one turns red, making sure to choose “Escape?” last. You’ll know it works if every option including the ones you couldn’t select turn red, and David walks down closer to the fireplace. Then, grab the key and leave like before. David will do his thing, and well…. that’s why it’s called the Murdered Ending.

This is where it gets a bit trickier. To avoid the Paradox, you have to remove every paradox in the time stream. The short way to explain it, is you have to break every single cardboard box, and change every TV to channel 5. Thankfully, the radio and TV will tell you if you still paradoxes left. Look at any static channel, and you’ll see a number hidden in the background of the static. That’s how many paradoxes are left. If not every box is broken, that’s one. If not all the TVs are set to channel 5, that’s another. If you haven’t put the key back in the locked chest at 88.2, that’s another. A fourth paradox happens if you stay in any one room for too long, but you can fix it by going back to that room and touching the flickery bit. Additionally, in every frequency you’ve visited, there is a red mark. If a red mark has zero or one purple dots above it, then you haven’t broken the box or changed the TV to channel 5, or both. If it has 2 purple dots, that one’s good.

If you feel you’re up to the challenge, go for it! Check how many dots are above each mark, and check the TV static to see if you still have some left. If you’ve got all purple dots, but the TV says there’s some left, scroll through the dark areas to find a place you haven’t visited yet. Remember! The key counts as one paradox!

Then go ahead and change the TV to channel 5 where you are. Then, travel to 101.9, break the box, change the TV to 5, and step through the purple lines at the bottom. If you haven’t already, break the box there. Go slightly up into the lines, and do the TV and box in that area too. Go to the top left of the room, change that TV as well, then go straight into the bed, and up into the lines around the trashcan. Grab a key, put it into the end table, and change the TV, before going back up to the radio. Head to 107.9 and break the box real quick.

Next, go to 94.6, change the TV, go through the lines, break the box, plug in the TV and change it, and go back to the radio.

Then. go to 90.2, break the box, change the TV (being careful of the lines), and step through the lines and FREEZE! It’s a tight space so be very careful that you change the TV without stepping on the lines. Once you change the TV, very slowly step through the line, and freeze once more. Be SUPER careful not to touch the lines here, and break the box and do the TV. Then, move down, and walk through the very very bottom of the lines. That is the only way to get to the box in that room, which you will now destroy.

After that, go to 97.3, and destroy the box. Checking the big table will show you a code, and checking the TV will show you it’s already at 5. Go to 106.4 next, and destroy the box. We’re almost done! You can talk to Karis on the channel 5 now, if you like. She doesn’t do anything for the ending.

Finally, go to 88.2 and put the key in the chest (outlined in the Paradox Ending section). That’s the last paradox, so return to 98.0. Like Paradox, ignore David. Completely. Don’t talk to him at all. Just go through the door and you’re free!

This is very similar to the Abandoned Ending. Again, copied bits are underlined.

This one is also very similar to Escape. Copy=underline, you know the drill.

Go there, and talk to her (It’s the farthest left frequency). Do what she says, and when you’re back at 98.0, witness the heartwarming scene before grabbing the key and leaving, all together. You win!

This ending, you must simply make David mad (as in the Murdered Ending) before getting Karis from 88.0. It’s really that simple.

Head to 98.0. You have to make David mad like you did in Murdered, making sure to click on “Escape?” as the very last one. When he’s mad, you can go get Karis at 88.0. Now you get to watch the kinda scary scene, before you and Karis leave without David. Try and guess what he does when y’all get to the platform.

In my opinion, this is the hardest one, because it requires a bit of timing and reaction, instead of just figuring things out. You do the Murdered Ending exactly as it is, but make sure to read the bottom of this before going through the door.

When you get to the train station, and David appears, you can still walk after the dialogue is over. Sprint up onto the tracks, so that David follows you, and get off before the train comes. David’s AI is bit weird, so I don’t know exactly how it works, but just try your best. If you get run over too, it won’t work, so keep that in mind!

(It has come to my attention that this might give you the paradox ending, even if you successfully kill him. If someone would like to confirm this, that would be great. I would, but I’m tired of this game after maybe 20 runthroughs to make this guide. Sorry. To be safe, just do the Escape Ending, but make him mad instead of letting him come with you.)
